17 October 2026
INTRODUCTION
Farmaggedon is back for 2026 and this time, it is celebrating 20 years of terror! Found at Farmer Ted’s Adventure Farm in Ormskirk, this is one of the UK’s longest running scare events, and this year they are bringing 5 scare mazes, live entertainment, rides, food and drink.
For 2026, they have given their 3D attraction a new overlay, Hellucination 3D, joining returning favourites like The Meat Locker, Maze of Death, The Beast of Terror and The Facility. From a single scare house all those years ago, Farmaggedon has grown into a large scale Halloween event, and this anniversary season celebrates that history.
Farmaggedon is running on selected nights from 26th September to 31st October, with arrival slots from 6:45pm. Tickets start from £25, with different ticket types available depending on how many mazes you want to take on and whether you want fast pass. Please note, Farmaggedon is strictly 16+, so no under 16s will be admitted, even when accompanied by an adult.
Outside of the mazes, there is plenty to keep you entertained, with live bands at the House of Rock, DJs, Scary Oke, street theatre, fairground rides and the Zombie Arms bar to steady your nerves.
We headed along to see what the 2026 season had to offer…

THE OVERALL EVENT…
WOO – event info | WOO – entertainment | BOO – uniqueness
Farmaggedon has always been a popular event and really does show you that sometimes you don’t need to change up something that is working very well. Farmaggedon has many attractions that haven’t changed in many years, with the original attraction The Beast of Terror, actually being their first maze they ever opened which is now 20 years ago! With not many new additions, it allows them to really focus on making improvements to what they have, which gives guests a clear picture that when you come back, it should only get better.
One part they’ve really mastered is the event information. They have a clear-cut website and when you arrive, they have a QR code which takes you to a planning website, where you can see all the shows on all the stages. This allows you to plan what you want to see or see what’s coming up if you’re waiting around. They also had queue times advertised on multiple screens, which was super handy to not guess or try and work out, thankfully though on our night it was pretty quiet.
Farmaggedon isn’t a unique event as such, as the attractions inside are not out there with its themes or anything else, so we would love to see the event do something more in future years as it has got a huge following now and the event has the grounds to do some spectacular things.
What Farmaggedon is known for though has to be their entertainment. They have 3 hubs for entertainment, which is insane. The first being as soon as you enter, which serves as the main stage as such, named Freddy. Here they have a live band, aerial acts, dancers and a DJ that come on throughout the evening. The second hub serves as a flash mob / DJ area, which does draw a massive crowd when Art the clown and his roaming character friends bust some moves. The last hub is outdoors, which mainly has a DJ on but they also have some dancers that come on every so often too. Having the 3 hubs means wherever you are at the event, you are never far from some form of entertainment.
Maze of death
WOO – Costume & Makeup
The characters inside were pretty creepy, with them looking the part of a chaotic theme.
BOO – Theming
Unfortunately it’s just wooden fences galore and very little theming inside.
WOO – Concept
It isn’t your usual theme or style of a maze, and with a name like Maze of Death it feels very menacing and scary.
The beast of terror
WOO – Theming
As the original maze, it has gone through so many upgrades and the opening scenes are breathtaking, with highly detailed set pieces and high levels of immersion.
BOO – Actor utilisation
Some of the rooms had actors who couldn’t move around due to the scenes they were in or the task they were trying to achieve, so they were limited on where they could be.
WOO – Lighting & SFX
There are just so many special effects inside here, from large animatronics, air blasts, moving props and that’s just for starters.
The Facility
WOO – Enjoyment
Very much enjoyed as this blends a shooting style attraction as a starter, before giving you the maze element as the main course which kept with the story.
BOO – Audio
Something we didn’t notice or rate highly when we went through, it was more the noise of the guns, actors or chainsaws.
WOO – Lighting & SFX
The start of the attraction using guns to shoot the infected, followed by your traditional scare maze effects, was done really well here.
The meat locker
WOO – Screams
A very scary maze which had a great introduction and many different scenes that made you want to run through them as the actors came out of nowhere and blended into their sets.
BOO – Concept
Unfortunately the concept of a meat locker and that style isn’t anything different or unique. The theme does allow them to add a lot of dark, gory horror elements to it but as a concept seems very overdone.
WOO – Lighting & SFX
Another great use of effects and lights in here. From the smoke in the introduction through to the large spinning blade that comes right out towards you near the end, it had plenty to keep you on your toes.
Hellucination
WOO – Costume & Makeup
With the clever 3D element, it means the bright neon lit clowns do pop and look really funky. That, along with all the characters inside, was really done well.
BOO – Storytelling
It felt the storytelling was very limited for this maze. With it having a sort of hell overlay to a clown attraction, it just missed the mark for us.
WOO – Lighting & SFX
Having the 3D glasses and the neon paint, this effect alone is actually pretty unique in the UK scare scene.
Farmaggedon as you can see is a quality night out this Halloween. From the roaming characters who are a highlight with their flash mobs to the frequent entertainment schedule that they have on all round. The mazes haven’t changed much since our last visit but the new additions and the smaller changes are all noticed and we love how they always pull in a crowd. We recommend buying fast track on the peak nights and note that tickets have different entry times. The Facility is only included as an upcharge to the normal ticket, so if you wish to do 5 mazes make sure you take note of the right ticket.
A huge thank you to the team at Farmaggedon for inviting us to experience this year’s season with them. They provided us with 3 tickets with fast track in return for our honest feedback and content.
We had a great time getting back and they are already selling out on peak nights, so make sure you get your tickets before you are too late!
