The team has utilized the increased space effectively this year, making many exciting changes. Last year, the maze used about three indoor rooms with the rest built outside, whereas this year, they have expanded to around 12 dedicated indoor spaces. This growth has allowed them to expand their team of volunteers.

Before you step into the attraction, you are asked to sign a waiver online, and it’s worth a read as they’ve gone a little more extreme this year. The actors truly make the maze what it is; you can see the passion across the board as you go through. The costumes, the sets, and the interaction are fantastic to see in a zero-budget, volunteer-led maze. They cover the emotional range very well, with scenes of gore, genuine scares, and some fun, comical moments.

A unique element is the potential to get messy; we had our faces covered in water-based paint and also had popcorn thrown on us. Twisted Pumpkin are limited on the Special Effects (SFX) they can have due to the budget, which is completely understandable and is their weakest point. However, they do use some, such as the inflatable squeeze tunnel. We enjoyed the maze as a whole; it definitely feels like a solid attraction, lasting around 20 minutes and packed with varied scenes, themes, and comedy.
