With summer drawing to a close, there was really only one destination on our minds to catch the sunshine, take in some shows, and tackle an elite lineup of coasters before the season wrapped up. Energylandia in Poland is a powerhouse of a theme park, boasting over 130 attractions across 7 themed zones, vibrant seasonal events, an expansive water park with more than 30 slides, and an impressive collection of 20 roller coasters.
Energylandia is one of Europe’s newer theme parks, having only launched its debut season back in 2014. Opening with just three coasters and welcoming 250,000 visitors in its first year, its rate of growth has been astonishing.
It has also become a hugely popular getaway for UK travellers thanks to minimal language barriers and straightforward transit options. The park sits right by the town of Zator, offering reliable rail and bus connections directly to and from Kraków. With generous daily operating hours, an action-packed entertainment schedule, and a water park in full swing during the warmer months, it makes for a seamless trip.
Having been fortunate enough to visit several times over the years, an August trip felt like the ideal way to round off our 2026 summer. The timing lined up perfectly with the park’s Magic Nights event, meaning 13 straight hours of thrills, extra entertainment, and the unbeatable atmosphere of riding world-class coasters under the stars!
Here is a glimpse of what we got up to across two packed days inside Energylandia.
Entrance, Choco Chip Creek & Sweet Valley
Staying locally meant we enjoyed an easy morning stroll right to the park gates. At the start of each day, Energylandia kicks things off with an opening celebration, gathering all the park mascots and performers to welcome the crowds. If you are keen to skip the festivities and get straight to the thrills, Hyperion often begins operating slightly earlier than the rest of the park, making it the perfect head start.
Our immediate priority was checking out the biggest addition since our last visit, Sweet Valley. Opened in 2024, the area is heavily themed around confectionery, packed with vibrant pastels and gentle flat rides aimed primarily at younger visitors. That said, it also hosts two solid roller coasters for enthusiasts to try. The first is Honey Harbour, a smooth, zippy Vekoma junior coaster that offers an ideal warm-up. The second is Choco Chip Creek, a sprawling family mine train ride packed with twists, low-to-the-ground turns, and three separate lift hills. Both cater well to families, serving as charming additions to the lineup, with Choco Chip Creek in particular offering a distinct layout that feels completely different from the rest of the park’s collection.
Water Park
The Water Park at Energylandia is genuinely worthy of its own separate admission ticket and has come a long way since its debut back in summer 2018. Steady expansions every few years have transformed it into a massive complex boasting more than 30 water slides, anchored by a vibrant water town with over 10 slides on its own. Bamboo Bay, added in 2022, brought an impressive family-friendly tower packed with 16 distinct slides to tackle.
Stepping into the water park instantly transports you away from the bustling atmosphere of the dry park. On hot summer days, it is easy to spend the entire afternoon here lounging on sunbeds, soaking in the pools, exploring the various bars and food spots, or ticking off every slide on site. During Magic Nights, the area takes on a whole new vibe, hosting lively night parties complete with foam events and extra entertainment. Keep in mind that opening is weather-dependent, typically requiring a minimum temperature of 20°C.
During our visit, we split up to make the most of it: while some of us took a much-needed breather with a cold drink on the loungers, the rest of the group dove straight into the pools and conquered the slides.
Top Rides & Shows
There is so much packed into this park that it is impossible to cover everything in a single review, but a few heavy hitters simply cannot be missed. First and foremost is Zadra, the park’s legendary RMC hybrid coaster, widely celebrated as one of the finest in Europe. Its sheer intensity, relentless pacing, and airtime make it an absolute standout every single visit. Abyssus is another highlight, delivering a smooth, multi-launch layout packed with sweeping turns, forceful inversions, and great momentum. Formula also punches well above its weight, with a punchy launch and compact profile that consistently catches riders off guard with its intensity. Finally, Hyperion commands the skyline; its massive scale, sheer speed, and sustained drops prove that a coaster does not need inversions to take your breath away.
Beyond the coasters, Energylandia is teeming with live entertainment and character meet-and-greets across all of its zones. The flagship attraction is the stunt show, which features rotating variations featuring different high-octane set pieces. From precision drifting cars to stunts on motorbikes and even roaring trucks, the stunt team executes every trick with flawless timing. We also checked out something new to us this time: the Robot Dance show. We weren’t entirely sure what to expect, but seeing human dancers perform alongside animatronic and robotic performers made for a quirky, fascinating spectacle.
Magic nights
Ever since 2018, Energylandia has hosted an epic summer event called Magic Nights on select dates. Running continuously from 10:00 AM until 11:00 PM, the event gives you a massive 13-hour window to experience coasters in pitch darkness and catch special night-time performances, including the stunt show amped up with extra pyrotechnics. On top of that, you get an evening DJ set and pool party in the water park, a full park parade shortly before close, and a stunning fireworks finale.
Naturally, we tried to cram in as much as possible, which quickly turned into a fun logistical challenge given the packed schedule. We kicked things off around 8:00 PM with the DJ and pool party. Even though the evening air had cooled down, the water was comfortably heated; those preferring to stay dry could dance along the water’s edge and grab drinks from pop-up bars sponsored by Pepsi for 2026.
By 10:00 PM, we shifted over to the Formula area, which offered the best vantage point for the fireworks spectacular. After catching a quick night ride, we positioned ourselves near the front entrance just in time for the illuminated parade, featuring character floats, costumed performers from the shows, and even the quirky robot dancers bringing up the rear.
Energylandia truly knows how to transform standard park operations into a full-blown festival. The best part is that all of this extra entertainment is rolled directly into the regular day ticket, making an already affordable day out an unbeatable value.
Across our two days at Energylandia, we had an absolute blast. Between revisiting our favourite rides, exploring the brand-new additions in Sweet Valley, tackling coasters we had never quite gotten around to before, and soaking up the water park, there was never a dull moment. Capping it all off with Magic Nights, complete with late-night shows, fireworks, and a lively pool party, made the trip unforgettable. Looking back, the time flew by simply because there is so much to see and do.
Our biggest piece of advice for planning a visit is to align your trip with a seasonal event. While summer offers great weather and extended night openings, the park also hosts fantastic events throughout the year, including Oktoberfest, Halloween, and Christmas winter wonderlands. It is well worth keeping an eye on their event calendar when deciding when to go.

If you are looking for somewhere to stay, there are hotels and themed camping resorts nearby, complete with convenient land-train transfers right to the main gates, making multi-day trips completely effortless. Travelling in Poland remains remarkably affordable, and across all our visits, the overall value for money has consistently impressed us.
