Welcome to the clouds as AirHop is Europe’s leading trampoline park, welcoming all ages and abilities to experience the exhilaration of jumping. As a trampoline park, AirHop aims to leave guests happy & bouncing in as many ways as possible, with more than just your average trampoline that can be found in any of their locations.
They currently have 4 key locations, with 2 in Germany located in Essen & Munchen, and two in the UK, Guildford & Bristol. In this review, we will be focusing on the Bristol location, which we were fortunate enough to visit before the end of 2022. This venue has a lot to offer and a lot cover, so strap in!
AirHop Bristol covers 60,000 sqft of thrilling activities which has something for everyone. They have over 140 interconnected trampolines, an Obstacle Course, Wipeout Zone, Dodgeball, Basketball, Battle Beams and even AR! If all of that wasn’t enough already, they have even introduced a UK first, being Airslides. Slide & Fly on the three AirSlides which are brand new to the Bristol location!
AirHop Bristol is open 7 days a week, with a range of opening times. Opening as early as 9am on Saturdays, bank holidays and school holidays and closing as late as 7pm. The venue has a range of sessions compared to just turning up and jumping. Whilst they have open jump sessions, which is just that, they have a Mini Hoppers sessions for the younger audience and even a HIIT class too!
AirHop can cater for parties, schools and groups too with a range of packages which are perfect for this audience. It is worth checking the website for the most up to date offering on this!
AirSlides
AirSlides is a UK’s first and you can experience not 1, not 2, but 3 different AirSlides! You get to drop down the steep slides then get launched into the air before landing on the oversized airbag. They have two versions of this AirSlide, with the yellow one being slightly smaller in height and with a smaller jump, whilst the blue one is taller and gives more airtime. Both of these slides are super thrilling, offer plenty of airtime and are really unique. You go down on a mat and lying on your stomach, so it does add some scariness to it, but we found ourselves going round a few times!
The third slide is slightly different, as this is a halfpipe, similar to what skateboarders ride but, you’ll be on a mat on your stomach riding this one. This was still certainly fun and offers a different experience to those who may not want to jump into the air.
Overall, the slides are super unique and offer a great thrill for what a trampoline park can offer. Guests of all ages were seen to be enjoying them!
@thrillnation This unique new slide has just opened at @airhopbristol… would you brave it head first only!? #airhop #airhoptrampolinpark #airhopbristol #trampolinepark #trampoline #trampolines #slide #slides #airslide #airslides #jump #jumpslide #scaryslide #scary #scared #fun #thrill #thrilling #woukdyou #bristol #filton #cribbscauseway #southwest #england #uk #thingstodobristol #thingstodoinbristol #family #friends ♬ Breaking Free - Troy & Gabriella & Disney
@thrillnation Replying to @Stan the man here’s the smaller one, there isn’t too much difference, but definitely feels like a softer landing! #airhop #airhopbristol #bristol #airslide #airslides ♬ Jump - Flo Rida,Nelly Furtado
@thrillnation Replying to @Reagan Carlsen it’s so cool that these slides are usually waterslides, and you don’t need water for this one! #waveslide #wave #boomerang #boomerangslide #tsunami #airhop #airhopbristol #bristol #airslides #airslide #scary #fun #thrill #wouldyou #jump #trampolinepark #trampoline #park #funpark #whatsonbristol #thingstodobristol #southwest #england #uk ♬ Tsunami (Original Mix) - DVBBS & Borgeous
obstacle course
The AirHop obstacle course was certainly one of the more popular attractions during our visit. A three lane racer attraction, where you can race along a series of obstacles to see who can win. You are timed from the moment you start climbing the steps and, have to race through barriers, tunnels and with a slide finale before the clock stops. You can even compare with the other racers at the end too.
We had a lot of fun of these and for adults, this is more a workout! We managed to do this 2-3 times during our session and were gasping for air each try. Kids seemed to love it and of course, if you don’t wish to be competitive then you can do it in your own pace.
airhop bag, tower & battle beam
Next up we had a great time exploring the AirHop Bag & AirHop Tower. Both use another large airbag and provide simple entertainment. You can use the trampolines to bounce and get some height before jumping into the airbag. You can do a flip or just simply jump in, whichever works best for you.
If you needed some more height then you can climb the AirHop Tower, which is a small tower that you can jump from instead without the bouncing, to then land in the airbag. With no wait to experience either of these during our time, it was fun to jump into an airbag in a few different ways instead of flying through the air on the AirSlides! It’s perfect for all ages who are mastering tricks or just want to get comfortable in learning new skills.
the main court, reaction wall & high 9
Heading over to the main court, here you can find most of the trampolines at AirHop. With a number of interconnecting trampolines to freely bounce on, with even ones angled on the walls. The space was larger than other trampoline parks we have been too and during our morning session, remained at a nice quiet level thanks to all the other attractions being occupied.
The main court also had the addition of the Reaction Wall & High 9, both adding more entertainment than just freely bouncing about. Reaction Wall was a display which had buttons to press when the lit up, whilst High 9 had 3 levels of buttons placed all around, meaning you may have to jump pretty high or stop bouncing to get the lower down ones.
wipeout zone & dodge attack
These next two areas are team based games, so expect to be sharing the space with other guests. The Wipeout Zone is seriously fun, which you may of seen on TV before. Duck & jump all whilst staying on your little platform and try to hold on the longest. With two arms swinging around and they do speed up, you do have to hold it together to succeed this challenge.
The Dodge Attack arena is classic dodgeball, with two sides of trampolines and plenty of dodgeballs. Instead of throwing them at eachother, they have designed targets at the back of each side, when struck they score a point for your team. So you need to defend these whilst scoring as many points as possible. Very active, very fun and a nice little twist on the classic dodgeball game.
battle baskets & ar trampolines
These next two features at AirHop Bristol are actually super exciting. AR Trampolines is a thing of the future, with AR standing for Augmented Reality, it uses new technology to combine trampolining and cross it with a video game. Pop while you hop in this game, as you need to bounce high and low as you wave your arms and legs to pop as many balloons as you can. The more balloons you pop, the more points you score. After one go of this, you’ll end up very tired! We’ve started to see AR being used more now days, so for it to be used in a fun, clever and interactive way here in a trampoline park, they are on to a winner.
The Battle Baskets are a series of basketball courts. It counts your score for each basket scored and they have a range of different heights, depending on what sort of challenge you want.
Finally, they have AeroStrike & Ninja Tag Pods. AeroStrike is a fast paced game which the aim of the game is to score points in the hoop behind the other person. Seems simple? It was actually pretty hard. With the fast paced nature and probably with how tired we were at this point, we struggled to score one. Still, a fun game to have.
Ninja Tag Pods was a fun team based game. Each player gets given a colour and registers for the game. When the timer starts, you need to race around the course to hit your coloured button. When you hit it, you score a point and it changes location. Seems easy? No, as some of them were very hard to get to for adults but, did make for a great challenge for ourselves. Perfect fun for kids though and those who love a little competition.
Overall, AirHop Bristol is home to so many great features in their trampoline park, better than most local ones. With all of these elements combined, from the unique AirSlides, to an Obstacle Course, to even the large main court, everything has been made to have as much fun as possible. It covers such a large age group, allowing a range of guests to attend and have fun bouncing around in a variety of ways.
Tickets are best purchased online and you can select either 60, 90 or even 120 minutes to have fun. Pricing can be as little as £13.50, with different packages being offered on different sessions, times and days of the week.
A huge thank you to the team at AirHop Bristol for inviting us down and letting us explore. They provided us with 2 free tickets for a 60 minute session.
