Travelling to Splashdown Quaywest is very easy, with the easiest way is travelling by car. You can find a few car parks adjacent to the venue and a very short walk away for reasonable value. You can also get a bus from nearby towns or even a train to Paignton, which is then a short 15 minute walk away from the venue. So you are never too far away from this waterpark. 

This attraction is fully outdoors with no indoor sections except from showers, toilets and changing rooms. This means they open seasonally and this changes depending on the weather. For 2023, they opened int May and are currently open until the 3rd September, however this is subject to change depending on the British weather!

You can find them open between the times of 9am – 7pm, with shorter opening hours at the start of the season and on selected dates. All of this can be found on the website and social media channels. 

Tickets can be purchased online or on the day, with it costing £17 per person for a 2 hour session at the start of the day. Otherwise, you can purchase a 3 hour session throughout the day at £19.50 per person. Spectators who are not wishing to go on the waterslides can enter for £7.50.

Compared to other waterparks and for this to be the largest outdoor waterpark in the UK, the price is pretty fair for what you are getting. On a hot day in the UK, you will often see Splashdown selling out, which shows how popular it can be.

Other Severe Rated Slides – The Scariest!

Alongside the brand new 3Fall slide, you have another 3 slides which are the scariest and most thrilling. They are listed as Severe in rating and all offer even some impressive heights, speeds or both combined! Starting with Devil’s Drop, this is the UK’s highest and fastest flume standing at an impressive 65ft near vertical drop into a black tunnel section. Only the brave conquer the drop but are rewarded with some great views and thrilling sensations as you plummet.

Next up is The Screamer, a short, sharp, shock as you descend like a bullet through a steep arc at a high speed. It is over and done in a matter of seconds and the speeds and g force felt is something only to experience. This is for the thrill seekers only and not for the faint hearted. Even we can only manage this a handful of times! 

Finally, you have the Wild Kamikaze. This slide has 3 steep drops as you slide down from a great height to all the way down at the bottom. This is a perfect slide for those who may not like the near vertical drop or the high speeds of The Screamer. So it fits perfectly bridging the gap between the fun and thrilling waterslides.

All of these slides are body slides and do not require a mat or tyre, so these often have the shortest queues during your visit. The only exception is 3Fall which does require a mat. 

Easy Slides – The starter slides
