What is Hounds Escape

Hounds invites you to leave reality behind at a venue where the outside world fades away. Lose yourself in true immersion with Hounds’ live experience, where theatre meets adventure at the intersection between comedy and drama. Hounds mixes the traditional escape room experience with special effects, immersive worlds and the use of professional actors to create something you won’t of experienced elsewhere. With 4 adventures to choose from, a speakeasy cocktail bar and plenty of games and challenges to conquer, Hounds is prepared and ready.

You can find Hounds in the town centre of Crawley, which is near Gatwick and with easy transport from places like London and Brighton. For those who drive, you can easily find parking in the town and head to the venue by foot but as long as you can make it to the town centre, you can easily walk to it and locate it. We parked in the retail park which is about a 5-10 minute walk away from the venue, which has free parking in the evening.

With 4 experiences on offer, you have a whole selection of options of what immersive world you wish to enter and challenges you want to take on. You have Questionable Ethics, which will see how you behave under observation in a soviet facility which you must enter blind. You also have Southern Discomfort, a wacky, satire and chaotic experience with big challenges and takes you back to West Virginia in 1992. The Explorer’s Diary has an adventure that is calling, will you answer? Then finally you have the brand new experience, The Acid Bath Murderer, Crawley’s very own true crime thriller which takes you into the killing floor of one of history’s most twisted serial killers.

All of the experiences are top tier and different to your average escape room game. Each experience will last between 75-90 minutes and teams can be of 2-7 with the exception of The Acid Bath Murderer, which can hold between 3-6. Ticket prices vary depending on how many players, so if you book for just two players it would be £34.95 per person, but with 3 players or more it reduces to £29.95 per person. The only exception to this is The Acid Bath Murderer is currently £34.95 per person regardless of how many players. Whilst the cost is on the upper end of escape room experiences, Hounds pride themselves on being immersive, top tier and being more than an escape room, with it being more of an adventure & experience.

Inside Hounds, you will find The Kennel Klub which is a speakeasy style mini-bar. This bar has a wide range of drinks but has special cocktails and it also sells Moonshine. This is the perfect place to wait before your experience begins and to relax after in. The drinks are all reasonably priced, with their being beer, cider and soft drinks also available. They do have a handful of snacks on offer also. We recommend heading to the bar before your experience to soak up the atmosphere and to make sure you are on time.
