Heading into the new area at Thorpe Park Resort called Fearless Valley, you can find more than just Hyperia. We started our evening previewing the new show in the area known as Legend of Hyperia – Flight to Fearless. The show for us included pyro, smoke bombs, LED planes as just some of the enhancements for welcoming the new ride in style. The show won’t normally include these elements we believe however, you will see the entertainment team do an interpretive dance on a small stage. This is a nice addition to give the area some feel good features before going on this gigantic ride.

After watching the show, we started our walk through the queue line to head onto the ride. The queue line is quite minimalistic but does have some signs, a shop half way through and some great views of the ride. You can see the first banked turn as the ride leaves the station very clearly from the queue and a giant Find Your Fearless sign on the maintenance shed building. 

As the ride is just opening, we would expect large queues and since the ride has opened, it seems during off peak times the ride gains around a 60 minute queue, whilst during peak times the queue is reaching 3-4 hour queues. It is useful to note the ride does now close prior to the rest of the park, so it is best to keep an eye out of how busy the queue is to make sure you get in the queue before it closes for the day. 

After you ride Hyperia, you come out into the shop and photo area. Here you can see your photos and purchase them like other rides. The shop has all of the new merchandise for just Hyperia, with lots of different products. From hats to t-shirts and hoodies to your classic pins & lanyards. They have a lot of different colour patterns, so if black & yellow isn’t your style then don’t worry! 

Whilst Thorpe Park since opening the ride has had some difficulties, Hyperia is now officially back open again and with it now hitting the summer season, we can expect this ride to be hugely popular. With some saying its the best ride in the UK hands down, and others saying its a huge contender for the rest of Europe! Whatever your opinion, it is a ride not to miss in 2024. 

To sum up our visit, we were very fortunate to get a ride at the end of the night around 10pm where it had just gone dark. The next time this is going to be possible is not until Fright Nights in October, which I am sure everyone is excited about.
