Our First thoughts… 

We were super excited to get back to Psycho Path as it was a really unique visit for our first time last year, offering a different take on attractions compared to your usual scream park. With Vandalised, Dolls House, a new route for Isolation and a new stage show, we knew it was going to be a lot to cover. 

As we visited during a preview evening, not everything was ready. Unfortunately their corn maze Corn-ered has had issues which means it wasn’t open during our visit, but were glad to say the space is still being used for a new maze called The Darkness. Equally, Vandalised we’re not ready for our visit, so we cannot rate or comment about this experience. 

Outside of these, we had a fantastic night and there is so much to do that even with a few teething issues, you would barely notice them. What we really enjoyed was the music and the indoor area being lively, plus the expansion of the blood bar offering plenty of space. The street team were really on it, being interactive, friendly and equally scary. We tried out some of the new additions such as Psycho Cinema Mind Control and Dolls House and these were very much welcomed. 

We enjoyed the food & drink offering although, we think these are a little expensive for the event and location from what we last remember. The end of the evening show was truly spectacular, providing pyrotechnics and chaos before our night came to a peaceful end… or so we thought. Don’t think it’s over until you make it ALL the way out of the event….

Crawl Space – Scare Score: 66%

Crawl Space was new for 2023 and with this being its second year, we were excited to see how it would continue to develop. This is a solo experience but you do enter as pairs and due to the limited capacity, you do have to book a timeslot at the entrance of the attraction with the actors. We recommend you do this as soon as you enter, so you don’t miss out. 

Crawl Space is claustrophobic, dark but quite funny also. It is a nice mix of screams & laughs and it does not last too long, if anything it is shorter than our previous visit likely due to capacity. The best way to describe your experience is a funny, dark and claustrophobic journey to meet the family, and trust us, they really want to meat you. 

You enter a series of rooms and meet different family members and have a personal, interactive session with them. We did feel these were a little rushed but we still enjoyed the uniqueness of this attraction and another attraction to not miss. Whilst it may seem scary on the outside, it is a lot of fun so give it a go!

Psycho City – Scare Score: 53%

Theming 50% | Storyline 55% | Screams 55% | Laughs 50% | Actors 55%

Psycho City has the theme of an everlasting dystopian nightmare, with it being like the end of the world around every corner. Each character or creature you face offering a different nightmare like ending which you would expect if the world was ending. From junk everything, corrupt police officers and priests and your classic creepy dolls hiding in the corner. This is one of the more longer attractions at Psycho Path and in the dark, can be a right challenge to find your way around its steep landscape, but it does make it fun and interesting for sure. 

Again our rating for this attraction is about average as it is a long maze with nothing too exciting or interesting in. Nothing really stood out or made us too scared or surprised. A great attraction for those looking for another classic Halloween haunt!

Doll House – The Factory – Scare Score: 75%

Doll House The Factory is the new maze for the 2024, after being transformed from being a show last year to this terrifying attraction. This was our favourite attraction of the night and that’s because you transform physically into your own disturbed doll whilst inside. Yes, you heard us right. You enter a human and exit a beautifully disturbed doll. Doll House is essentially a maze, with dead ends and no clear exit and you can get seriously lost. Whilst everything seems calm and innocent, you do find certain routes that may take you to meet the dolls inside, some want a play date, others want to play dress up, others want to put make up on you. Nothing is off limits here, with us being spun around in bins or having a mask placed upon us, which makes us the actor, which was a huge twist. 

This attraction is really unique and has 10 different interactive elements to find, with one of them being the exit. Some may go in and straight out, whilst others may get lost for some time. You may enter with your group but you may exit without them as they get transformed. We had such a laugh and the cast inside were very talented. A hugely unique attraction that will be one of our favourites for 2024 for sure. 

Psycho Cinema – Mind Control – Scare Score: 42%

Psycho Cinema has a new showing for 2024 and this being Mind Control. Whilst last year this cinema showed their own horror movie, this year it shows mind control, which is an experiment into coercive persuasion. This meaning you enter into a derelict bus and take a seat and have to wait until the experiment begins. Following a short film, you watch a lot of trippy and disturbing footage, with it making you question what is right and wrong. With a team of 3 actors, this is done very well in that sense but it isn’t scary or neither funny, rather just creepy and disturbing. With a good storyline which you can get lost in and for a small team, I think it is a great side piece for Psycho Path but, I wouldn’t rush to this if you have other attractions to do first.
