Phantom Peak’s Halloween season, ‘The Lunar Festival,’ cast an eerie spell over the town. As I stepped into this living, breathing world, I was immediately drawn into a mystery of the Halloween season.
This immersive experience, nestled in London’s Canada Water area, is unlike anything I’ve encountered before – part escape room, part immersive theatre, and part open-world adventure. Exploring the town, interacting with its quirky inhabitants (including some very distressed platypuses!), and following the trails on my phone to unravel the story was utterly captivating.
With more time to explore than ever before (a generous 4.5 hours!), I was able to delve deeper into the intricate storylines and attempt to collect all 10 trail cards. From the spooky decorations to the engaging characters, Phantom Peak’s Lunar Festival delivered a truly unforgettable Halloween adventure

The air crackles with anticipation as Halloween descends upon Phantom Peak, and this year’s Lunar Festival promised an adventure unlike any other. As veterans of Phantom Peak’s unique brand of immersive entertainment, my friends and I eagerly awaited the spooky surprises in store. We were not disappointed!
The festivities began with a bang—literally. A grand ceremony celebrating a planned space mission took a terrifying turn when the ceremonial button triggered a doomsday device set to blow up the town! With a 4-hour timer ticking away, we were thrust into a race against time to save Phantom Peak.
The explosive introduction set the stage for an evening of thrilling exploration. Lanterns cast an eerie glow on cobweb-draped buildings, while plump pumpkins grinned mischievously from every doorstep. The town was alive with a spooky energy that was both exciting and unsettling.
Of course, no trip to Phantom Peak is complete without indulging in their creative concoctions. This year, we shared a bubbling cauldron of a cocktail, served in a fishbowl and brimming with dry ice and exotic fruits. The spooky donuts, adorned with eerie icing designs, were the perfect treat to fuel our adventure

The actors truly bring the town to life, drawing you into their world with their enthusiasm and impeccable improvisational skills. While the experience is light on jump scares, the detailed storylines and intricate world-building create a captivating atmosphere that’s both spooky and enchanting.
One of our favorite trails involved a high-stakes card game against mischievous spirits. The clever use of magic and dramatic tension had us on the edge of our seats, culminating in an unforgettable and impactful finale.
While Phantom Peak excels in its current form, perhaps future Halloween seasons could offer optional “side quests” or a separate, more intense experience for those seeking thrills. Imagine a hidden maze within the town, filled with chilling challenges and eerie encounters!
Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or a first-time visitor, Phantom Peak is a must-do this Halloween. With its unique blend of immersive theatre, engaging puzzles, and captivating storytelling, it’s an experience that will leave you spellbound.
