Starting with the highlight for 2025, Ghostly Manor is Paultons Park’s brand-new dark ride. This exciting attraction invites you into a haunted mansion where you’ll join Dr. Kinley and his team, zapping paranormal activity as you explore. Offering plenty of thrills and chills, the ride utilizes a cutting-edge system, previously unseen in the UK, where guests sit in interactive vehicles, moving through various scenes. These scenes cleverly combine screens and live props to create a fun, slightly spooky, and immersive adventure.

What truly captivated us about Ghostly Manor is its immersive setting and theme, which begins even before you enter the ride itself. Outside, a fantastic, hauntingly themed landscape awaits, complete with talking ghosts in photo frames, a rocking swing, and other delightful additions, all designed to build anticipation. As you step inside the manor, a compact queue area features videos that delve deeper into the storyline, alongside a grand statue of Dr. Kinley himself. With atmospheric smell pods, colorful lighting, and friendly ghost appearances, the entire pre-show experience exudes a wonderfully mysterious ambiance.

The Ghostly Manor ride itself proved to be incredibly fun. Riders spin through different scenes, aiming to zap the paranormal activity unfolding before them. We found it to be thrilling without being genuinely scary, which is perfectly expected for a dark ride in a children’s theme park designed for the family market. While some younger children might find certain elements a little spooky, we observed many families thoroughly enjoying this new addition and eager to ride it repeatedly!

We believe Ghostly Manor is the perfect addition to Paultons Park, and we’re incredibly excited to ride it time and time again on future visits! It’s worth noting there are no height restrictions for this ride; guests simply need to be over 5 years old to ride with an adult, or over 8 years old to ride without supervision.

Beyond the fantastic new additions like Ghostly Manor and our exclusive super fan event, the rest of Paultons Park continues to impress and remains a superb theme park destination. We easily managed to experience all the rides we wanted, including Flight of the Pterosaur and Velociraptor, with minimal waits. We even had a unique opportunity for a little behind-the-scenes look at Flight of the Pterosaur, which brought us up close to its lift hill and some of the impressive dinosaurs.

We also enjoyed getting up close with the animals in the park’s zoo section. From observing the penguins and various birds to our favourites, the meerkats, visiting the animal exhibits always provides a delightful way to break up your day.

Tornado Springs continues to be a standout themed land, with its immersive American atmosphere. As part of our event, this area hosted a silent disco with out-of-hours drinks until 11 PM. Watching the sunset over Storm Chaser truly encapsulated the magic of our visit.
