Phantom Peak The Burning Blimp Festival 2025 Review

18 August 2025

Phantom Peak

The skies burned red and a hero arrived! Jonas, our savior, has returned and will be celebrated during The Burning Blimp Festival this summer at Phantom Peak. Prepare to step into a real-life video game and explore an electrifying anniversary festival unlike any other. With four hours, ten trails, and endless adventures, this is an experience you won’t forget.

For those new to the concept, Phantom Peak is a living, breathing, fantasy town located in central London. Over the course of four hours, you will meet the townsfolk, follow trails to learn more about the story and characters, enjoy local food and drink, and so much more. Every few months, a new season arrives with a new story, fresh trails, and special treats.

Running from May through August, The Burning Blimp Festival brings the evil Dr. Furbish to life in a way you couldn’t possibly imagine. For those who have visited a previous season, the narrative continues, allowing you to follow key stories throughout the town. But don’t worry—if you are a first-time visitor, this season offers plenty of excitement on its own, with a wealth of secrets for you to uncover. Each season is a standalone entity while also being a part of a larger, interconnected picture.

The festival runs on select dates, mainly from Friday to Sunday, with tickets starting from £30 per person. Deals and offers are often available, and prices may be higher during peak times, so it’s always worth checking the official website before your visit for the best dates and costs. Your ticket includes a four-hour adventure, where you can meet and interact with characters, take on trails, and explore all of the town’s hidden secrets. Food, drink, and other additions are an extra cost and can be purchased with your ticket or on the day.

Although we have visited each season, Phantom Peak never fails to surprise and entertain us. This season is as wild as ever, featuring even more interaction, more intricate storylines, and yes, even more puppets! The ingenious way the team brings these puppets to life is absolutely fantastic—it’s utterly bonkers and manages to keep adults laughing while kids are thoroughly amused.

Some of the key trails we embarked on were also brilliant. We got to play Dungeons & Dragons with Littlefield, the local postie, and even crack a safe by spinning a wheel to find wrappers. We also watched comical videos involving a familiar little frog and a very strange-looking bear. These short videos, which help develop the story, have only gotten better over time and truly bring the make-believe world to life. The seamless mix of live interactions and a wide array of strange technology stations ensures you’re never bored while exploring.

We managed to complete three trails and still had time to stop for some food and drink on our latest adventure. The food was great, and the drink prices were what you’d expect in London. It’s always nice to be able to pause and enjoy the surroundings, with plenty of seating available both indoors and outdoors, depending on the weather.

It was a pleasure to discover some of the new changes at Phantom Peak for the summer season. A new entrance to the town is now located on the opposite side and through a dedicated gate. Guests are checked in here and then wait in an outdoor area, which features merchandise for sale and a bar to grab a drink while you wait for the introduction. Following a short wait and the standard explanation of the rules, you are then guided through the town to the indoor area where the welcome ceremony is hosted. We really like this new outdoor starting point, as it provides a larger briefing area, which is especially welcome during the warmer summer weather. We expect this to be a temporary setup for the season, but only time will tell if it becomes a permanent change.

As always, a huge thank you to the team at Phantom Peak for allowing us to visit for the Burning Blimp Festival. This is a truly strong season and one of our favorites yet. We feel we say this every time, but for guests who have visited from the very beginning and through every season, it’s amazing to watch the team grow from strength to strength and improve with each new iteration. With two more seasons coming soon—Hallowed Peak for Halloween and Wintermas for Christmas—there are plenty of reasons to book a visit.
