Phantom Peak Wintermas Review ()

Christmas has arrived, and it’s time to celebrate at Phantom Peak. The annual festive period has returned under the name Wintermas, where you can meet Father Platmas, spot the festive platypuses, and admire the wonderful decorations. As the fourth Christmas in Phantom Peak’s history, this will be the final holiday season at the Canada Water location, as it is the venue’s penultimate season before they relocate.

For those new to the concept, Phantom Peak is a living, breathing fantasy town located in London. Over the course of four hours, you meet the townsfolk, follow trails to learn more about the stories and characters, and enjoy local food and drink. Every few months, a new season arrives with fresh trails, a new story, and special treats.

Wintermas runs from November to January, featuring 10 new trails and a new overarching chapter in the Phantom Peak lore. They offer festive food and drinks alongside all your favorite characters—including Father Platmas, who is a must-see for a selfie in his standout purple Santa costume!

Tickets start at £35 for adults, which grants you access to the venue for your own immersive adventure. They run on multiple dates, with peak days offering two slots: an afternoon session and an evening session (usually between 6–10 PM).

As always, we have visited every season, and below we give you a glimpse into our experience of Wintermas 2025!

Our Wintermas experience began in the traditional way: going over the basic rules, heading inside, and waiting for the opening show to begin about 25 minutes after entry. From there, we jumped straight into a trail and were once again met with plenty of funny, punny stories. The puppets returned to help develop the winter tales, and we managed to complete three trails just in the nick of time.

This time, we also played one of the side games, which involved teams of two moving a ball from the bottom to the top of a course. It sounds easy, but it can be quite tricky! The winning team received a small prize—a badge and some tokens. These tokens could actually be used to influence the ending of the story for this season.

As always, we caught up with some of our favorite characters. Our trails led us to the local postie, Littlefield, who was as funny and random as ever. We even had a trail with Dr. Winter, which is a rare treat. He was “thrilled” to see us, by which I mean he squirted us with water and told us to depart and never return! And, of course, we can’t forget Father Platmas, the true star of the festive season.

Our time seemed to fly by, and the evening felt like it ended even faster than it began. We managed to find time to grab a bite to eat, stop for a drink, and complete three trails before the closing show brought the experience to a climax.

Phantom Peak Wintermas is a must-visit for a festive experience in London. While the venue is great all year round, the winter season has a special charm thanks to its unique decorations—from the massive Christmas tree to the quirky, holiday-styled platypuses. Every trail is worth following, each providing a link to the festive season, however loose the connection may be! With endless photo opportunities and a vibe that is completely different from your average Christmas outing, it is simply a must-do.

A huge thank you to the team for inviting us and providing complimentary entry for four guests. In exchange, we have provided our honest thoughts on the experience.

Phantom Peak at Canada Water doesn’t have long left; recent news confirmed that February 28th will be their last-ever show at this location. It will certainly be sad to see this chapter come to an end, but we look forward to what’s on the horizon and the final season in 2026!
