Prepare to play, watch, and come together at one of London’s leading social competitive gaming experiences: TOCA Social. As the world’s first interactive football and dining destination, it successfully blends the universal appeal of the sport with cutting edge technology, world-class dining, and a vibrant social energy.
Our visit took us to their newest and largest location at Westfield White City, a massive venue dedicated entirely to the beautiful game.
The experience is centered around private booths that act as your group’s own personal stadium. Pricing is refreshingly accessible, starting from just £12.50 per person for a 30-minute session.
Locating the White City venue is a breeze, after a quick tube ride to Shepherd’s Bush, it’s just a short, well-signposted walk to the entrance. Upon arrival and check in, guests are typically guided straight to their dedicated booth to begin the action. For our visit, which was a shared press evening, we had the opportunity to jump into a free booth and get a feel for the tech immediately. Each station features a large, intuitive touchscreen where you can create player profiles, track your scores, and even snap a photo for a fun, personalized touch to your gaming session.
The system is impressively inclusive, allowing each individual to select their own difficulty level. This ensures that beginners and seasoned footballers can compete on a level playing field, balancing the experience so everyone stays engaged. Once your profiles are set, a menu of games appears with clear, on screen instructions for each. The standout for us was the brand new Angry Birds game. Because the mobile classic is so iconic, the mechanics were immediately familiar: you simply kick the ball at the digital structures to topple the piggies. The more destruction you cause, the more points you bank. It’s a simple, satisfying loop enhanced by great sound effects and creative level design.
Beyond the birds, there are a variety of other modes to explore, ranging from the tactical Atoms to the frantic Zombie Waves. Each game requires a different skill set, some focus on precision, while others are all about survival. What makes TOCA Social truly stand out is that you don’t need any formal football experience to excel; as long as you can kick a ball toward a screen, you’re in with a chance. Your chosen difficulty level dictates how the ball is delivered and how much time you have to take your shot, making it a accessible, high energy experience for every member of the group.
Beyond the pitch, TOCA Social offers an extensive food and drink menu that remains impressively affordable for its prime London location. During our visit, we sampled a variety of rum cocktails that were as tasty as they were refreshing, alongside a selection of burger sliders that hit the mark for quality and flavor. The staff were a standout element of the night, every team member was incredibly friendly and professional. Even when we encountered a minor technical hiccup with our gaming booth, the staff resolved it quickly and efficiently, ensuring our playtime remained uninterrupted.
The venue is designed to be a complete social hub, featuring arcade games, plenty of lounge seating, and dedicated photo booths to capture the night. As a venue deeply rooted in the sport, it’s no surprise that TOCA Social is the ultimate place to watch a match, with every game broadcast across a multitude of screens. For those with a competitive streak, there is a venue-wide leaderboard to track the best scores, along with several stylized photo opportunities to help document your visit.
Our launch night was particularly special, featuring an appearance by Red from Angry Birds for photos and a DJ spinning a fantastic set of 2010s throwbacks that kept the atmosphere buzzing. It was a stylish way to celebrate the new game and the expansion of the White City location. We want to extend a huge thank you to Ed Hopkins and the TOCA Social team for inviting us to this launch event. While our experience was complimentary in exchange for our content and honest review, the fun we had was very real. Tickets and booths are available to book directly through their website; while there is generally good availability, we highly recommend booking ahead for weekends, as they are incredibly popular!
