DEAD ON ARRIVAL HAS A NAME. MEET THE MORTICIAN.

“Dr. Pierre Dubois ran from his past, but he brought his grim work with him.”

For seven years the Operator has kept one door locked. In 2026 he opens it. The maze known only by its classified file, Project: Dead on Arrival, finally has a name: the Mortician, a brand new scare maze at Doncaster Fear Factory, South Yorkshire’s premier extreme scare attraction.

The story: Dr. Pierre Dubois was once a quiet mortician in a provincial French town. Then came the rumours: illicit practices, bodies that did not arrive lifeless, procedures far beyond the acceptable. Before the authorities could uncover the full truth, Dubois vanished into the night with his mistress, the cold-smiled Florence Didier.

Their flight carried them across the Channel to England, where the fog is eager to swallow secrets. Hidden among the forgotten, the pair have settled into obscurity. The authorities are still searching. But Dubois knows the darkness well, and it offers endless opportunity for his work to begin anew.

One thing is certain: you may not leave the same way you entered.

What lies inside:

The Mortician is one of the most intense experiences at Doncaster Fear Factory, built on psychological triggers and sensory deprivation designed to unsettle you.

  • Live actors: they know the layout better than you do. Expect them in unexpected places.
  • Immersive sound: the sound design is cranked high to heighten tension and disorientation.
  • Atmosphere: shifts in temperature and lighting mimic a real, derelict mortuary.

  • Health: not suitable for guests with heart issues, back problems, varying blood pressure, or who are pregnant.
  • Sensory: uses heavy strobe lighting and loud noises.
