27 August 2026
By order of the Peaky Blinders, the London underworld has officially arrived. Illicit bets at the bookies, scurrying rats in the alleyways, and the boisterous roar of the fairground await those who step onto Garrison Lane. Located in London Bridge, this official Peaky Blinders experience lets visitors step straight into the iconic world of the Shelbys. Packed with live performers, interactive challenges, and unexpected encounters, it is one of the standout immersive theatre events in London this autumn.
The world has been brought to life from the award-winning British crime drama created by Steven Knight, who noted:
“Peaky Blinders Underworld is not just a recreation of the Shelby family’s world, but a much wider destination. This venue gives fans the new opportunity to socially engage with their beloved series through a completely new prism, while those less familiar with the show will find plenty to love about it too.”
Tucked into the Arches just around the corner from London Bridge Station, the venue officially opened on August 13th, 2026. The space is split into two halves:
-
The Garrison Tavern: A fully functioning bar open to anyone who wants to grab a drink and soak in the atmosphere.
-
The Underworld Experience: The paid immersive theatre experience (from £19.95), offering a 60-minute interactive challenge full of mystery and character interactions.
Open Tuesday to Sunday, it offers plenty of time slots throughout the week. We secured a first look during a press preview—here is a breakdown of what awaited us inside.
The Garrison Tavern
The Garrison Tavern serves as the starting point for anyone visiting the Peaky Blinders experience. Wandering through the space, you will find countless nods to the Shelbys, with authentic period details and memorabilia lining the walls and display cabinets.
At the heart of the tavern sits a large, fully functioning bar serving themed beers, ales, bespoke cocktails, and standard soft drinks. With plenty of seating and an expansive counter, you’ll always have a place to sit during peak hours. The venue also features an official merchandise shop, dedicated photo opportunities, and secure bag storage for your belongings.
Adding to the atmosphere, a dedicated stage hosts cabaret acts, live music, and special performances on selected evenings. We caught the house band during our visit, making it the perfect spot to sit back with a drink before heading into the main attraction or to debrief with friends afterwards. Best of all, live actors periodically spill out from the theatre area to interact with tavern guests, delivering spontaneous surprises that keep everyone on their toes.
The Underworld Experience
The Underworld is the paid immersive theatre attraction and the centrepiece of the venue. Tickets start from £19.95 online for a dedicated timeslot, which grants you a full hour inside this themed world. Upon check-in, you receive a briefing booklet detailing the various paths and activities available. With so much packed into the space, staff rightly warn you that seeing everything in a single run is practically impossible.
Stepping through the entrance places you straight onto Garrison Lane, a dimly lit, atmospheric street where suspicious characters lurk in the shadows. We were immediately collared by an actor who welcomed us to the territory and tipped us off about a potential rat in our midst. Tasked with uncovering the traitor before trouble flared, we used clues from our booklet alongside hidden codes and numbers scattered across the set to crack the case. This investigation was just one of several missions running simultaneously.
If solving puzzles isn’t your style, you are free to roam at your own pace. You can drop into the backstreet tattoo parlour, try your hand at authentic fairground staples like the coconut shy and hook-a-duck, or place a wager on the horses at the bookies.
The promise of non-stop action certainly holds up. Between the scripted storylines, spontaneous actor interactions, and midway games, every corner reveals something new to explore. An hour flies by remarkably fast when you are fully caught up in the drama.
One of the standout elements of Peaky Blinders Underworld is the rich atmosphere. From the moment you step into The Garrison Tavern, you are immediately transported into the era, a feeling that deepens the second you enter the main set. Even without having watched much of the TV series, we found the experience thoroughly entertaining and accessible. For dedicated fans, the sheer volume of hidden Easter eggs and subtle nods to the show adds an extra layer of enjoyment.
Providing guests with a booklet to track their progress is an excellent touch that gives clear purpose to the immersive gameplay. While guided objectives might not appeal to everyone, having that structure encourages you to explore overlooked corners of the set. The set designers did a fantastic job hiding clues and codes in plain sight, rewarding anyone willing to get stuck in.
The cast delivered exceptional performances across the board, keeping everyone engaged with the storyline. Despite the free-flowing nature of the space, an actor is always nearby to guide the action or drop a hint. You can even purchase drinks inside the set, making it easy to wander the streets with a pint in hand.
Even as immersive theatre veterans, we left with plenty of missions still untouched. It easily stands out as one of the best value-for-money interactive experiences in London right now. Once you visit, you will likely find yourself planning a return trip just to see what you missed the first time round.
A huge thank you to the team and to Mance Communications for inviting us to the press preview, where we received complimentary admission and drinks in exchange for coverage. Tickets are available directly through the Peaky Blinders Underworld website, and you can check out our TikTok channel for a closer look behind the scenes.
