Locating Building Q121 proved a minor challenge, but the detailed booking instructions were invaluable. Upon arrival, we parked, had our QR codes scanned, and awaited our slot. Inside, a pre-show video and genuine historical artifacts set the stage. After a brief safety briefing, two actors introduced the narrative and led us into the atmospheric, smoke-filled room—a truly striking entrance.

Standing before the decommissioned wind tunnel, our guides explained the time-travel premise, preparing us for our historical journey. We donned headphones and entered the tunnel. For the next 30 minutes, a captivating binaural audio piece, enhanced by dynamic lighting effects, transported us through time. The audio storytelling exceeded expectations.

Following the audio experience, the actors guided us back to the main hall, now illuminated with dramatic lighting. We then had a brief opportunity to explore additional historical exhibits before exiting.

For their inaugural audio-immersive production, Orchid Digital delivered an exceptional experience. The special effects, compelling narratives, and overall execution were impressive. Even as non-aviation enthusiasts, we found the experience engaging and accessible. We sincerely hope “A/VIATION” returns for a wider audience.
