Opening Times & Cost

Aqualand Koln has some of the best opening hours in Europe for a waterpark. It is open 7 days a week and is only closed a handful of times throughout the year. Monday to Friday it is open from 9:30am. Weekends and holidays, it is be open from 9am. For closing times, it is either 11pm or midnight, meaning whatever the time of year or day, you can have more than enough time to pop in for the evening, if after a late night activity. It is good to note that the slide times do differ to the opening times, with these closing usually an hour earlier than the rest of the waterpark. 

There are a variety of ticket options when it comes to Aqualand, with it depending on when you are wanting to visit. They have 2 hour slots, 4 hour slots and a full day if you wish. Adult tickets start from just under 20 euros, with it increasing a small amount depending if you wish to stay longer. Guests under 15 get a slightly cheaper ticket and if your visiting during the week, late evening or early morning, then you can get a discounted ticket too. There are price packages for the sauna world too, but it is good to note this is required to be done nude, which is common in many European saunas. 

Upon entry in Aqualand Koln, if you do buy a timed ticket, it starts from the moment you scan in with a wristband which can be used to make payments for things if you top them up. If you do over run on your time, there is a small late fee that you may have to pay depending on how long you stay over.  

The next slide is the Aqua Looping slide, which is a drop capsule slide. This isn’t just as simple as other drop slides, as this one has a loop in it. Whilst not a full vertical, it does complete a loop and has the ability to not complete if you do not get enough speed. Which if so, you have to leave by a special exit in the slide itself. This was the first one of its kind in Germany, so it is great to see one here as there isn’t that many across Europe to experience! 

You also have the Boomerang slide, which you get on a quite a small tube and ride a half pipe before a little bump at the end. A short slide but due to the unusually small tube size, it does make it a lot more scarier and fun. One of these has also never been designed in Germany before, so it holds another cool title for them! 

The last two slides are found together in a small slide tower on the upper level. Here you can find Space Taifun & Red Star. Red Star is a speedy slide and is for true speed junkies, as it is the fastest slide here. Here you can even find an optical illusion in the slide, which is cool. Space Taifun is a space bowl slide which has some cool lighting effects too. Both are super fun, thrilling and usually get some of the longest queues due to how popular they are!
