The Rollercoasters

Starting with the 4 rollercoasters that are offered at Belantis. We have a mixture of top thrilling coasters through to the family favourites. The highlight coaster at the park is Huracan, a Eurofighter type coaster which opened back in 2010 and stands tall and in bright red in the Kingdom of the Sun Temple area of the park. With multiple inversions and reaching speeds of 85kmh, it provides a fun yet thrilling experience for many guests. 

Moving on to the Drachenritt, a dragon coaster found in the Knights area which is a Gerstlauer Bobsled coaster which offers plenty of sharp turns and fun dips around a castle setting up high. A perfect ride for the family and was highly popular. 

Next up was a coaster found in the Egyptian / Pharoah area of the park known as Cobra des Amun Ra. A family rollercoaster also made by the German brand Gerstlauer. This one had a fun indoor queue line and was still surprisingly thrilling for adults to ride.

Last up is Huracanito, which unfortunately for adults you cannot ride. This tiny coaster is a very simple and small coaster but perfect for the younger audience.

The Water Rides

Heading onto the water rides at Belantis was such a great idea, as on our visit it was pretty warm. Thankfully with the 4 on offer, it had plenty for everyone. Starting with the stand-out thrilling attraction, this being The Curse of the Pharoah or Fluch des Pharao. A unique boat ride that takes you up Europe’s highest pyramid before rushing back down and getting you soaked. We’ve not seen a ride use inflatable boats like this before and it offered a real exciting experience for us all. 

Next up was Fahrt des Odysseus, a family boat ride which took you around the lake to see a number of sights such as Hercules, singing Sirens and even the Cyclops! 

We also took on a lovely canoe journey in the centre of the park as you can board you own kayak with your friends and family and paddle around a large lake and get some really lovely views, like we did on our sunny visit! Completely free of charge and life jackets are available for younger guests. 

The final water attraction is Gletscher-Rutscher, a multi lane giant side. It has 4 options to choose from, depending on what is open. On our visit, there was 3 out of the 4 open, where you get in your small boat and go down different routes. A simple yet fun ride which is perfect for adults and children.

The Rest of the park

Outside the rides & attractions, Belantis is a well kept, beautifully landscaped park which had plenty to offer. We had no issues on our day with minimal queue times or the staff understanding us. Everyone was friendly and super helpful and the pricing for food and drink was reasonable too. With plenty of small side stands through to restaurants available, we were able to pick up food around lunchtime in a good timely manner. We ate in the knights area of the park, with several options being available from German speciality food through to chicken, waffles and crepes. 

The park has plenty of shows on offer too however, none that we watched or experienced in full. They did seem more on the smaller scale and for the younger audience. We did get to see the parks mascot around the park greeting guests and also one of the new puppet telling shows, which the families seemed to love.
