To play any of the games, you can have a team of between 2-5 players and the price ranges from €39 to €49.50 per person, depending on the amount of players. Due to the popularity of this experience, you do need to pre-book prior to arriving at the venue and making payment before visiting, as they do not do this on site. All games can be played in either German or English, along with your host being able to speak both of these languages. 

Our experience started from when we arrived for a late evening slot to play the brand new Frankenstein room. When we arrived, we entered into the venue and were greeted by our host. We had a moment to go to the toilet, put our bags somewhere safe and take a look around in the lobby area. It was very stylish and gave a very old fashioned bookshop but with a magical twist. There were comfy chairs, clean bathroom facilities and plenty of puzzles to play to pass the time. Before long, it was our time to experience Frankenstein!

Puzzles & Flow – 8/10

Frankenstein had a perfect blend of puzzles across the 75 minute challenge. From searching and finding, manual locks through to electronic puzzles. Everything made sense when trying to complete the puzzles and you knew what you were doing each step of the way. Whilst the experience was more linear style, it had plenty to do and kept our team of 4 busy throughout the full time. It offered a mix of simple & difficult puzzles that all would make sense within time. Some were physical and others were mentally challenging, allowing all of our team to work on our strong points and offer assistance. 

The flow of Frankenstein was a quick enough pace that wouldn’t leave you bored or fustrated that you weren’t making enough progress. With the different type of puzzles and settings, you would find yourself doing something else or be somewhere else within a decent length of time. We rated this so high as the blend was just right and we had minimal assistance and managed to progress through it well. With most rooms, we did come along a few frustrating moments and in the end, worked out our errors and quickly progressed along to complete the challenge we were on.
