Phantom Peak Starlit Summer 2024 Review

Phantom Peak Starlit Summer

Once again we head over the ridge to explore yet another new season at Phantom Peak. This summer you can take part in the cabin games, enjoy their summer cocktail & food options and try to solve the new 10 trails on offer.

For those who have no clue on what Phantom Peak is still, then where are you hiding? This is the 9th season of the ongoing story of Phantom Peak, since launching back in summer 2022 for the first time.

We’ve been lucky enough to attend every single season and review every single season. Whilst it’s changed a lot since it first opened, one thing is for certain, it’s weird, it’s quirky and you’ll find nothing like this wherever you go in the UK!

For more information on the previous seasons, including more on what Phantom Peak is, you can do so by clicking here!

So whats the story for this summer? It’s known as Starlit Summer and it has introduced something known as the Cabin Games. This essentially being a competition which everyone takes part in that plays part of the seasons overarching story. Upon entry, you’ll be randomly allocated one of three teams, that being Klacky Kabin, Abs Assemblage and Team Terrence. As a side mission throughout your time at Phantom Peak, you can collect tokens by playing the cabin games or speaking to the townfolk to see if you can do anything extra to earn some. If you manage to collect any, you head to the main stage and drop them off into the collector tubes, as the top two teams at the end of the day will face off head to head, as only one team can win overall!

We managed to collect tokens by completing the trails and by speaking to the characters, asking nicely and answering odd questions. The cabin games they hosted were classic party games such as an egg and spoon race (although it was a comic egg), bean bag toss and even Jenga! Simple yet chaotic fun.

We also managed to complete 4 of the 10 trails on offer this season. We never managed to do more than half but we do like soaking up the whole atmosphere. If you manage to do 3 in any visit, we think you’ll have a great time. These trails for this season were still very clever, making us laugh at how bizarre some of them were and the references they linked to. If you’ve never been, you have to go to just understand why they are just so good and different. We found this season they were a nice length, some taking longer than others but we never found ourselves stuck or bored doing them.

We enjoyed some summer cocktails in the sun and also enjoyed a few bites to eat. Whilst the main menu never changes, they do have a few seasonal changes and additions, so it’s always great to try them! You are with them for 4 hours, so it’s worth trying something during your time.

Phantom Peak Starlit Summer was a huge success in our opinion and is contender for being one of our favourite seasons to date. Why? Well the cabin games was a genius idea and kept everybody busy, in-between and outside of doing the trails. The competitiveness against everyone was done right and it generated that extra buzz during our two visits.

Each season always ends with a show and this season was no different. As you gathered in the town and listened to the mayor, if you blinked you’d be super confused of why they broke into song and dance about a dead horse named Chonky Chonk. RIP. It was chaotic & wild and everything you would want from an experience like Phantom Peak.

Whilst the summer season is coming to an end, phantom peak is right round the corner with Hallowed Peak, the autumn / Halloween overlay. We can’t wait to see what spooky surprises they have up their sleeves. Equally they won our award as one of the most unique events to do in the UK for Halloween!

A huge thank you to the team for allowing us to visit this season and providing us entry. We highly recommend you visit Phantom Peak whenever you can as it is our favourite experience in London. We can’t wait to return this Halloween but until then….
