Point Blank Newcastle Review

19 September 2025

Point Blank Title

Point Blank, the UK’s first simulation shooting range, bar, and kitchen, has set up a home in three northern locations: Manchester, Leeds, and Newcastle. This incredibly fun group experience allows you to compete against your friends on a large simulator, offering a scale far beyond any arcade or at-home setup. The venues provide a luxurious and spacious environment to play, drink, and grab a bite to eat.

You’ll find Point Blank in the center of Newcastle, just a short walk away from other popular bars and venues. Given its prime location, it can get busy, so it’s always worth booking your session in advance rather than simply showing up. The venue offers plenty of daily promotions throughout the week, including match day deals and family-friendly days during half-term. They also cater to special occasions with bottomless brunches and Christmas event offerings, making it an ideal destination to combine an activity with a meal or drinks.

Prices for Point Blank vary. Off-peak pricing starts at £10 per person, with a cap of £60 for a one-hour slot, which means a group of up to 10 people will still pay a total of £60. For peak pricing, an hour starts at £45 for up to four guests, £52.50 for five guests, £60 for 6-7 guests, and £65 for 8-10 guests. For groups larger than six, it’s recommended to book more than one hour to ensure everyone has plenty of time to play. There are five spacious and luxurious gaming booths in total, which can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests. Table service is also available, a great touch that saves you from going to the bar and missing your turn.

We rated Point Blank 4 stars, and you can find out why below…

We visited Point Blank as a team of two on a Saturday afternoon. Our timeslot was from 1:10 PM to 2:10 PM. We found the venue easily using Google Maps, as the bright blue and yellow signage outside is unmissable. We checked in at the entrance desk, where we had to read a quick set of terms and rules. They also took a card to be held as a deposit in a locked holder, which is kept with you and is not charged, simply to ensure that you don’t damage any equipment.

After checking in, we made our way to the bar to get a drink. The atmosphere was buzzing, as Newcastle was playing at the same time, making it quite a busy place. We were served quickly, however, and they had a wide range of drinks on offer. From there, we were guided to our gaming booth for the hour.

A team member (Jacob) gave us a great tutorial on how to get started with the Point Blank experience. With a range of different games and guns, it was clear we were going to have a good time. They started us off with a sharp-shooting game, which required us to hit five small targets as quickly as possible—a simple concept but difficult to master. They had many different levels to keep it interesting. A favorite of ours was the shooting missions, where you navigate through various scenes, shooting the villains and avoiding the hostages. With so many levels, this alone could take up all your time. They also had some two-player games, such as Zombie Survival, where you have to defend your base from an ever-growing horde.

With its different levels and games, Point Blank offers plenty to keep your group entertained for as long as you stay. If you only have an hour, like we did, you’ll still get a great snapshot of the experience and can play a few levels of each game. For larger groups, you could easily spend 2-3 hours to ensure everyone gets plenty of time to play and compete for the highest score.

The basic package includes lightweight and easy-to-use pistols, which were perfect for us. You can, however, purchase an upgrade to access a full arsenal of weapons. These guns are significantly heavier and provide a different challenge, on top of looking and feeling the part. We got to try a few of them on different games, and they are definitely worth the extra cost if you’re looking for a bigger challenge.

With over 200 shooting scenarios to work through and plenty of gun options, you can visit Point Blank time and again and have a completely different experience. It truly takes the arcade experience to another level and, for us, provides an on-point experience. We had so much fun and appreciated seeing this type of activity in such a luxurious setting. A key thing to note is that the venue has a dress code with a zero-tolerance policy on caps and tracksuits, so keep that in mind before you visit.

A huge thank you to the Point Blank team for inviting us to experience what they have in Newcastle. They provided us with a complimentary hour session in return for our honest review and content. All of our thoughts and opinions are based on our personal experience and research.
