Clowns of the Corn was the first attraction of the night, and as the name suggests, it plunged us into a cornfield maze filled with clowns. The vantage point before entering gives you a panoramic first look at the haunt, where you can see guests running throughout the corn, which was just low enough to glimpse through.

The concept is great: placing clowns in a winding corn maze that features multiple different routes (with a few guiding clown signs along the way). Being a fully outdoor maze, traditional special effects were always going to be limited. However, the wind, as we experienced on our visit, was a surprise highlight—the rustling of the corn created an intense sense of paranoia and atmosphere.

We thoroughly enjoyed this maze, and we feel that with the addition of just a few more actors, it could be truly terrifying.

End of the Line is Statfold’s most interesting maze, offering a compelling two-part experience.

The attraction starts at a train station platform where you wait for your carriage to arrive. From there, you take a 10-minute journey to your destination, with a storyline playing over the tannoy system. The concept of using a fully functioning train to start the experience is really cool and adds a unique sense of drama and immersion.

Once the journey completes, you are dropped off outside the boiler house, where you continue the rest of the route on foot. The actors inside this boiler room section were absolutely relentless, making it the most intense maze the park offered—a truly unexpected shift after the slower first half. This felt like a full-scale, high-energy scare maze and was very much enjoyed.

The main drawback, however, is the flow. The experience requires a wait time of approximately 15 minutes for the train, and you then have to queue again for the boiler room portion, which definitely creates some additional, unavoidable wait time.
