Our experience started by entering into a themed tent, with advertisement on the outside and artwork relating to the story and event. As the lights went out, a short safety speech was given over the speakers before the story began by a military guy that has been cursed. Giving a eerie storyline to start you off, you then ventured on a journey to see if you can survive the cursed lands. We experienced multiple show scenes, where the characters developed that story and provided a personalised yet captivating time with them. Whilst the theming was on the lower side, they made up using clever illusions which is the true highlight of this experience. These illusions played tricks on your mind as they happened right in front of you, from disappearing bodies, to half cut bodies, it was immersive and spooky to see. 

We thoroughly enjoyed the maze as it gave comedic moments and cleverly embedded personalisation elements, which bigger attractions aren’t able to do. The small team were able to get us from all angles, keeping us distracted in one direction, but sneaking around to get us from the other side. With a small space to work with, it was fantastic to see the use of space and keeping a decent level of scares, but using the story more so, whilst it not being boring or too tame. 

From being splashed with water through to our names being used in set scenes, it just gave a creepy and eerie atmosphere. Our favourite scene would have to be halfway through when we were surrounded, locked up in the cage and separated for different interactions. The more you interacted in the story, the more they could give back, which is great to see an attraction using improv skills.
