Shriek Easy is the brand-new maze for 2025, perfectly capturing a roaring twenties theme where mobsters, molls, and murderous intents fill the air. You get to step into one of the town’s most popular speakeasies and find out exactly why no guest ever leaves.

The attraction starts before you even enter the maze; you meet one of the show girls who briefs you on how to get into the speakeasy and gives you the secret code word. You then pass through a detailed tailor shop before being transported into the speakeasy itself, facing all the mobsters and their schemes.

The story was clear, highly interactive, and engaging from the very start. The maze blends mini show scenes with traditional scares, elevating it beyond a typical haunt. Moving around, there were lots of special effects and cleverly built scenes. While the high level of detail occasionally slowed the flow, it was worth it to admire the immersive environment you’ve been transported into.

To end it all, we were astonished: we have never walked out of a maze with a drink in hand! This unique finale sealed the deal on a brilliant new attraction.

Full Moon Manor is a creepy attraction right from the start. As you step into the lobby and meet one of the bell personnel, the unusualness of this maze immediately stands out. Following one of the best introduction scenes at The Howl, you step into an elevator—the Hell-evator—to be transported into the manor.

The theming inside genuinely resembles a true manor, and with its haunting additions, it gains an extra layer of immersion. As one of the more recent mazes added to The Howl’s lineup, its quality really shines through. The journey takes you through the reception, the lobby, a bathroom, and even a wedding function room in the attic.

While the maze features a very cool special effect in the Hell-evator and a highly effective Steam Room, special effects are one of the weaker overall features in Full Moon Manor. That said, the actors truly create the creepiness of this haunt. From delivering sudden scares to flawlessly hiding in the darkness and emerging from doors you didn’t know existed, their energy was one of the strongest we experienced all night, and we highly commend the fantastic run we got.

Squealer’s Yard is a fan-favorite maze that has returned to The Howl for many years, inspiring dread in returning guests. Set with a classic hillbilly theme, you meet the terrifying family right from the very start, and they immediately make you desperate to escape.

The scenes are designed to keep you moving quickly while still managing to tell a clear story about the family, ending with the chaos of butchers and chainsaws on the exit.

The special effects are a major strength here, featuring chainsaws, smoke, air blasts, and one of the loudest air blasts we have ever experienced at a scare event in the UK!

However, the audio and general lighting are noticeably weaker features in Squealer’s Yard, and we would love to see this aspect upgraded if the maze returns for another season. Despite being an older, simple maze, it certainly isn’t the weakest, delivering intense and memorable scares.

Red is the smallest maze at The Howl, but it’s also very clever in both concept and design. We recommend tackling this one first, as it really sets the mood for the rest of the night.

The maze follows the well-known story of Little Red Riding Hood, but with a horrifying twist: Red is now lurking in the dark forest, looking to kill you, alongside Granny and the Big Bad Wolf. We absolutely love how a classic tale is given such a sinister edge. The story is brilliantly brought to life as you walk through the forest, enter the house, and then frantically try to escape.

The audio and lighting are a little simple here, but the maze features some standout special effects, like the laser walkway halfway through and the giant Big Bad Wolf—these effects get us screaming every single time we go through!
