Outside the extreme slides, you have the Action level slides which still offer plenty of thrills and exciting moments. These slides really cater to most of the audience that visit Therme Erding and we find these the most enjoyable and fun. With 11 slides in the section, we will only highlight our favourites. 

You have the VR-slide, which during selected hours of the day, get a VR headset at a small upcharge as you go down the slide, which transforms the experience to out of this world. They have 9 options with different themes and characters with each of them providing something wild. We managed to try this once each and it certainly adds a new level of excitement to this slide as you have no idea where you are going. 

You have Magic Eye which is the world’s longest closed tube slide with over 360 meters long of sliding pleasure and guests can ride this solo, pairs on even a trio! Speed Racer is one of our favourites as a high speed racing slide, offering two identical paths of twists, turns and dips as you duel to finish first. Another highlight is Wild River, which is a rapid style slide which flows like a wild river down a shallow pool in a continuous slide with all your friends. There are many other Action slides you should check out as this is only a small snippet of some of our favourites.

The last level is the family slides, which include 5 slides perfect for guests aged 6 and upwards. These allow thrills for the younger age groups who may not be old enough or tall enough for all the other slides. Whilst we don’t ride these, it is great for the younger audiences not to be forgotten in a large waterpark such as Galaxy.  

Food & Drink

As big as Therme Erding is, it has to have plenty of food & drink options to cater for everyone’s taste. They have over 10 food & drink locations in the Spa & Waterpark area, offering a range of quick snacks through to full meals. The meals can range from a Bavarian dish through to pizza, burgers and pastas.  We visited the Ocean restaurant which is self service and can be found quite central in the building. Here we were able to get a burger and pizza with a side of chips and a soft drink. It came to a reasonable amount and the meal was good quality and very tasty. 

Outside the food, we had plenty of cocktails and alcoholic drinks across the many pool bars they have. The Flamingo Poolbar is situated outdoors and provides some music too. We also had a drink in the Flower Poolbar, which has a different range of drinks compared to the other. Therefore, it is worth having a swim about to see what bars have what on offer, as you can find many different drinks across them all. 

Across the other spa areas, they have other pool bars and restaurant options, so you can have even more choices than what was already on offer. Our section only covers a small section of the food & drink options that you can have when visiting, so make sure you take a good look round!

Outside of the room we stayed in, they have many other perfect rooms you can pick, such as the Captain’s, Admiral’s or Yacht Cabin, with the Yacht cabin giving a view of the countryside where you can feel like a captain of your own offshore yacht. 

Prices for all of these rooms do vary depending on how busy Therme Erding is and when / what time of year you come. It can be as cheap as £200 for an overnight stay, but can also be flexible up to £400 on a price based on 2 guests. The room also comes with entry to Therme Erding and a breakfast buffet, but this is dependant on the rate and the time of booking, so you do need to look at this. Thankfully the website is fully translatable to English, so you should have no bother working this out when looking at your stay. 

We found checking in to the hotel super friendly and had no difficulties doing so. Even from the moment of checking out, each member of staff was helpful and made our stay as luxury as it could be. 

The last part to mention would be our buffet breakfast, which is found in one of the restaurants which was again highly themed. A range of hot and cold food was on offer, with making your own pancakes, to the classic sausages, egg and bacon you would usually find. It was a large offering and all included, so you wouldn’t be disappointed with this service. 

Overall, Hotel Victory is well worth staying in for any length of your stay when visiting Therme Erding and is well worth the money paid, which is hugely affordable with what is being offered compared to many other smaller UK offerings.
