Waterpark

The Galaxy Slide World features 28 spectacular water slides, covering 2,850 meters and three difficulty levels, offering fun and action for the whole family. There are some very unique attractions which make the waterpark stand out from the rest. High Fly looks like a ski jump, where you take a steep descent before taking flight into the landing area below. Big Bang is the newest slide and features a drop into a funnel half pipe, dazzling lights (which you can choose the theme for), as well as fun double down finale. Space Glider is a watercoaster with water jet powered uphill sections to help extend the layout, this slide is made more unique by the addition of an upcharge virtual reality experience at certain times of the day. X-treme Faser reaches speeds of 72km/h and is one of the most intense waterslides around, so much that females are not permitted to ride!

There are a large variety of other waterslides to suit everyone, including a dedicated children’s area. Black Mamba is a lengthy enclosed slide with multi colour lighting effects. Wild River is a long body slide where you can ride alongside your friends, featuring some surprisingly quick sections it’s a lot of fun. The Space Bowl starts with a sweeping drop before sprialling around the bowl element. Magic Eye is the longest enclosed tube slide in the world at 360 meters long, and starting from the very top of the waterpark, you travel down with lots of lighting patterns. Kamikaze features a short but intense 60 degree drop. The Family Slide has a gentle gradient with lots of turns making it fun for all. The Speed Racer is a fast paced duelling slide where you are timed racing to the bottom, with tight turns and sudden drops it certainly thrilling fun.

During the summer months when the weather is pleasant (over 18 degrees celcius and not raining), there is a large outdoor area to explore with a vast number of sun loungers, as well as some of Germany’s biggest waterslides. Unfortunately during our visit, despite being in peak summer, the weather had other ideas with cooler temperatures and persistent rain, the outdoor waterpark did not open. We have visited in the past, and the slides are not to be missed. The Big Wave is the headline attraction riding on a tube, you enter a large funnel before continuing down into a halfpipe, it’s a great combo slide. Rainbow Racer is a 6 lane mat slide starting with a spiral turn before opening up into a side by side race to the finish. There’s also similar outdoor versions of the indoor bowl and family slides.
