The Cursed was the first maze we tackled, based on strong recommendations. This massive maze is predominantly outdoors, stretching across fields and utilizing several tents and barns to host different, distinct sections.

The variety here is astonishing: we went through a “rat race” barn where hay bales and tunnels blocked our path, and also navigated a knight maze that featured actual dead ends! And that’s barely 10% of the entire attraction.

The scares were relentless, with every segment providing top-tier frights that genuinely left us breathless. Each scene was packed with horrifying actors who had fantastic energy and delivered a diverse array of creepy scares. You couldn’t possibly get bored: one moment, you were in a circus tent with clowns, and the next, you were being chased by creatures in a barn, or running from a chainsaw in a wooden maze. We even had to step over a stile in the middle of a maze, which was definitely a first for us!

The only element lacking was the storytelling. With the name linking to “The Cursed,” we had hoped for some level of narrative, but the experience was purely scare-driven. We trust this is something that will be developed in future years.

The last maze we entered was The Nightmare, which was certainly an interesting attraction. Right from the start, we experienced one of the many special effects: a shaking lift that rattled us in a dark, cramped space—totally unexpected.

The journey continued through a smokey, wobbly bridge, a tight tunnel, and even included a slide. At one point, we hit a dead end, and the only way through was by passing through a spider web passageway—like something from a trampoline park—which was a really different feature to encounter in a scare maze.

While the sheer number of physical special effects meant the traditional theming was a little sparse, the overall concept was brilliant. Putting all these different features together made for a unique attraction that we actually really enjoyed.
