Tutankhamun London: The Immersive Exhibition is a one-of-a-kind experience taking visitors on a journey through time to discover the legend of the Egyptian King. Now open in the UK for the first time, this immersive experience is home to a variety of attractions, enabling visitors to explore a civilization shrouded in mystery. The exhibition brings visitors right into the heart of ancient Egypt with the opportunities to become face to face with one of Earth’s uncovered secrets. For a limited 14 week run, Tutankhamun London is home to 6 unique immersive attractions. Featuring treasure rooms, holograms, projection rooms, VR experiences and AI photo booths, the exhibition really puts visitors in the heart of the legend of the Boy King.
Located at Immerse London, Excel London Waterfront, the exhibition is easily accessible from central London via the Elizabeth Line (Custom House) or the IFS Cable Car from North Greenwich. Parking is available on site (subject to availability), pre-booking is advised. The experience runs from 28 March to 29 June 2025, Monday to Sunday from 9am to 6pm. We would recommend approximately 90 minutes per visit, but visitors can determine the duration of stay, there is so much to do and see!
Tickets start from £22 with discounts available for children, students and seniors, as well as family bundles.
Upon arrival to the Excel London, we found the exhibition was well sign posted and easy to find along the waterfront, considering other events were on at the same time. We were excited to visit this brand-new exhibition due to a keen interest in Egyptology and an upcoming visit to the Pyramids of Egypt. Diving deeper into this legend is always something we have wanted to discover more, so visiting this experience the perfect time to do so. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, with the key highlights being the hologram of the full mummification process and the two VR experiences. The roaming VR where visitors freely explore the Valley of the Kings Metaverse is one of the best we have seen and not to be missed!
Greeted with a warm welcome, visitors enter the attraction and are given a brief introduction about the exhibition. The experience begins upstairs (please note the exhibition is wheelchair accessible, refer to accessible FAQs on Tutankhamun London for more information), where the lessons of the Boy King begin, before entering the Treasure Rooms.
Displaying a range of both original artefacts, replicas and curated Egyptian historical displays, the Treasure Rooms are the ideal place for visitors to learn about this uncovered legend. Captivating stories from ancient Egypt, this selection of artefacts date back to 4000 B.C., showing a glimpse of Howard Carter’s private collection.
As the experience continues, step into the heart of Ancient Egypt, surrounded by over 1,200 square metres of 360-degree vivid projection. Using state of the art technology, transport back in time discovering Egypt’s natural landscapes, cultural heritage and diving deeper into the Tutankhamun and the discovery of his tomb. This 30-minute video is narrated by Howard Carter himself, enabling visitors to sit back and learn about one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of all time.
Tutankhamun London features two VR attractions, one seated and another as a digital, interactive Metaverse. Embarking on unique journeys, visitors step back in time to 1922 to relive the discovery of this incredible tomb. By exploring the Valley of the Kings and Howard Carter’s base camp, visitors witness history in a new light and be part of one of the world’s most uncovered secrets.
The Mummification Hologram on display for visitors is the world’s first holographic presentation of the mummification process of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. Using cutting edge technology, visitors are captivated through this unique experience learning about rituals and processes used to prepare the body for the afterlife. Blending history, science and technology, this attraction is truly impressive. One of the best we have seen.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Tutankhamun London and felt we came away with knowledge we would not have learnt anywhere else. From start to finish, the production was great and really brought the legend to life. It was fascinating to gain a deeper insight into how the tomb was discovered and the story behind the infamous Pharoah. We would like to thank Mance Communications for inviting us to the experience offering 3 adult tickets. In return, we have shared our genuine thoughts along with other social media content from within the attraction.
