THE OVERALL EVENT…

WOO – Entertainment | WOO – Variety | BOO – Operations

Returning to this major scream park after many years, we were immediately reminded of its reputation for long attractions and great atmosphere. The event has always been very popular, and our visit on their last operational day confirmed they remain highly popular throughout the entire season.

The park offers incredible diversity with its new seven-maze lineup, covering everything from plants, witches, and clowns to German vampires, ensuring they cater to a wide range of fears.

There is so much supplementary entertainment going on: the big top tent hosts shows throughout the night, and if nothing is scheduled there, an outdoor stage provides fire performances, a wild roaming cast, or their new, very cool Laser and Light Show. The atmosphere is infectious, and the hub provided everything we needed to spend all night with them—a great way to end our Halloween 2025 scream park season.

However, we wished to see better in their operations. They continue to send rather large groups very quickly into their attractions, creating a significant flow problem. Sometimes this resulted in conga lines inside the mazes, making the experience feel very rushed. On our night, it seemed as though a group of 10–12 guests was being pumped in approximately every 45 seconds. This approach prioritizes maximizing throughput over the quality of the individual guest experience.

Overall, getting back to Xtreme Scream Park after missing it for the last few years has been incredibly worthwhile. As a standalone scream park, the quality remains high. The new mazes, particularly Blutlust and Spores, highlight that the creators understand how to use their space, create innovative ideas, and still build the signature high-quality, long attractions that define the event.

Because of this dedication to attraction length, when you do have to wait in line, you are ultimately getting a worthwhile, extended experience once inside. They have mastered theming and special effects throughout, and now only need to work on group sizing and spacing to truly be one of the best scream parks in the UK.

The event atmosphere and entertainment were very much enjoyed, and we can easily see ourselves returning once again next year!

A huge thank you to the team at Xtreme Scream Park for working with us. They provided us with a free VIP ticket for three people to attend in return for our ratings and review. Sadly, we were unable to film inside the attractions on this occasion.
