Clown House Nottingham is a brand new event which takes your childhood phobia and brings it to life this Halloween. Located a short drive away from Nottingham’s town centre, Clown House is hosted at Pirates Play, Party & Laser Centre. Usually a safe and high quality entertainment centre for children up to the ages of 11, they host numerous activities for children within their centre. They do host numerous special adult themed nights, allowing you to drink, play games and more importantly, have lots of fun on the multi story play structure!
“Something scary and fun is coming to Nottingham this October, Clown House opens it’s doors here at Pirates Play Centre during selected October nights. Our clan of scary clowns have taken over the four storey soft play structure and are beckoning you in to play their games. Become a big kid with and survive our terrorising crazy clowns by twisting and turning through obstacles and plummeting down slides, but beware of the bottom and what may be lurking beneath!”

Clown House Nottingham debuts this year with a unique concept. They have unleashed a number of clowns to take residency in the Pirates Play centre and hide within the play structure. Giving playtime a whole new meaning, you are chased, grabbed & tickled by the clowns as they terrorise you. This simple idea is perfectly executed with 5 clowns taking control of your session and really causing a riot from start to finish. If it wasn’t already breath-taking from having to navigate a child’s play structure, it is more so now with this many clowns and only so many ways to go!
Each clown at the event has so much energy to give and are some of the scariest, loudest and persistent clowns you’ll come across at any event this Halloween. We were not expecting them to grab you, corner you and be very much in your face as you try and navigate the structure. If you found yourself in a dead end or catching a breathe, you would end up regretting it as they would be hot on your tail. Nothing was off limits for these clowns, they would come down the slide with you, climb up the slide to get you and even push you back on the structure if you thought you could step out.
Whilst this is only a small event, they have supplied a handful of lights and some atmosphere with loud pumping Halloween music. This giving more energy for the event and was a nice touch. Some snacks and drinks were on sale too which you will need after your slot, as you will be drained from all the running & screaming that happens.
Did we forget to mention, they have turned out the lights too? With the dark setting and some very mischievous clowns, all you can do is run.
Clown House Nottingham runs throughout October on selected evenings. Each slot is 45 minutes long and has no more than around 20 people per session. This means you will be fully immersed in a very private session with the clowns in the play structure. Costing £13 pre booked and £15 on the door, this is such a unique event and is like nothing else seen across the UK. It brings childhood phobias to life and if you are slightly scared of clowns, you will be having nightmares!
