PLONK is a super unique crazy golf company who have invaded the London scene with many fantastic courses and locations. They have experience from designing and producing courses all across Europe and hosting them at award winning venues too. They are currently home to 4 different venues in London, this being; Shoreditch, Borough Market, Hackney and Camden.
We actually got to experience the Hackney course earlier this year and that review which is worth checking out can be found by clicking here!
This review will be focused on the Camden location, which is home to an indoor 9 hole crazy golf adventure. Hidden in the Victoria arches of Camden’s Stable Market, this course has had a huge revamp since lockdown and is ready to provide a fun challenging game to all that play.
PLONK in Camden have quite a small venue compared to some other crazy golfs you may of played. With it being hosted within the arches, they have maximised the space they have to use. The building has no space to be in unless you are playing the golf however, with it set in the market you can find plenty of space here to relax.
When entering the venue, you can check in or purchase your game, collect everything you need and also drop off anything to leave in the small cloakroom.
They have a bottle bar which offers a selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverage at pretty average prices for London. It is always worth ordering one so you can have a drink around the experience, as you can’t have one before or after because of the limited space. From here, you begin your golftastic experience!
With it only being a 9 hole course, every single hole counts. The courses are all custom built and with PLONK, they really do go the extra mile on the majority of the holes. They aren’t just your average easy hole in 1 shots, they usually require skill and sometimes a little bit of luck too. Some of the courses weren’t played in the average way and required a steady hand and skill to get a low score. We really struggled on these but they were a great laugh and a great little challenge.
Amongst the course, they have a 1/4 pipes, big ramps, balancing beams and some jumps for good measure. Each hole is very different to the next and whilst first glimpses may give you the idea it is easy, you will be thinking again after you’ve taken your go!
Whilst short, we did really enjoy the 9 holes and it gave us a challenge each time. This meant our scores went up and down so much and kept the game super close the full way, up until the final hole!

What is actually pretty fun and different within the Camden venue is that if you draw in scores, you get to play the famous 10th hole! This is tiny golf… The joint losers will fight it out on this small course to get the lowest score and we find the official losers / last place player. This person can then spin a wheel of fortune (or misfortune). This has a range of items on it such as giving the staff a £2 tip through to getting a free drink! We love this little addition to the end and makes you not want to lose but if you do, you get a little bit of risk and sometimes, a reward.
The venue is open 7 days a week and opens between 12pm-7pm on Sundays & Mondays, whilst Tuesday to Saturday it opens between 12pm and 10:30pm. To play a round, it costs £13 peak and £9.90 off peak. Children prices can be as little as £5.50 however, it is an over 18 venue most of the time with under 18s only able to attend during the week and before 5pm.
Easy to get to from the Camden tube station, we think PLONK is right at home in the wacky world of funkiness in Camden. We really enjoyed our 45 minutes here and the time flew by, even with some minimal waits from groups in front.
PLONK offered us 4 free tickets to attend in return of our review & TikTok, which is worth checking out for a little snippet of the venue. This hasn’t influenced our review above and all opinions are our own. Tickets are best purchased direct and in advance via their website and if you don’t fancy Camden then, feel free to check another venue!
