Volcano Falls Adventure Golf at Xscape Yorkshire is home to Yorkshire’s best adventure golf. Hosting 2 x 18 hole courses, food & drink alongside other seasonal entertainment. The location is found very easily at the Xscape Yorkshire complex, at the back of the building on the ground floor. 

Volcano Falls is hosted in other locations also across the UK, in Edinburgh & Milton Keynes. Our review focuses on our visit to the Castleford location.

The venue is open daily with great opening hours, usually open till 9/10pm at night. These range depending on term and holiday time, so it is always worth checking the website before attending. Ticket prices vary depending on if you do one of two courses and your age. An Adventurer who is 12+ will cost £8.95 for one 18 hole course, or £16 for both courses however, an Explorer between 6-11 years old, will cost £6.95 for one course or £12 for both. Tickets can be purchased online prior to visiting or on site. We found the queue was much shorter if you pre-booked however, the queue was very minimal.

Volcano Falls was very lively when we attended with many groups out and about enjoying the whole venue. This did add to some waits between the holes as expected but nothing was too long or frustrating. The atmosphere was fantastic and we really did have a fun time across the two courses in the late afternoon. 

We found some of the courses to be pretty easy and we managed to get a few hole in ones, but others did give us a little challenge, with even some members of our group not getting it in the usual 6 shots! It is great when adventure golf can provide that challenge to allow some possible hole in ones and other holes where true skill and precision is needed. 

Overall, we had a brilliant time at Volcano Falls in Xscape Yorkshire and would recommend families and groups who enjoy adventure golf and great atmospheres to come & visit. With the seasonal event and additions, now would be the perfect time to pop by, especially if you are local or passing by the area!
