1. Natural History Museum
Whether it is wildlife, space, oceans or dinosaurs, the Natural History Museum is home to more than 70 million botanical items and 55 million animal exhibits. With free entry for all visitors that must be pre-booked online, the Natural History Museum is a great choice for families to visit this Feb half term.

2. The British Museum
The British Museum opened its doors in 1759 and is the world’s oldest national public museum. Visitors are able to explore over 2 million years of human history and culture with many events taking place through the museum including Egyptian mask making, Japanese themed family photos and discovering ancient Rome using Minecraft in the Minecraft Masterpieces workshop.

3. The National Gallery
Explore the National Gallery this February half term discovering the story of European art from the likes of Vincent van Gogh, Leonardo da Vinci and Botticelli. The National Gallery also features free exhibitions for visitors and this Feb half term discover Picasso Ingres: Face to Face. The National Gallery is celebrating architecture and children are able to explore, build and play creating their own pieces of art.

4. Southbank Centre
The Imagine Children’s Festival is aimed at children ages 0-11 and one not miss this Feb half term at the Southbank Centre. Author-led children’s theatre, comedy, music, poetry and face is free for families to enjoy enabling children to celebrate their individuality as well as to learn and to be inspired.

5. Changing of the guard
The changing of the guard is a ceremony at Buckingham Palace where the soldiers are replaced with a new group of soldiers to protect the palace. This event takes place at 10:30am every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and is one not to be missed. The event lasts around 45 minutes and also features the palace band playing all the hits!
