Chessington World of Adventures Wilderfest Review

“WILDERFEST is perfect for young festival-goers – so whether its your first one ever, or your first one this year – don’t miss out on Britain’s WILDEST Festival. Tickets now available – Wilderfest includes full theme park and zoo entry.”

From 24th July through to 31st August Chessington World of Adventures Resort puts on extra free entertainment in the theme park, as well as queue lines for the rides not closing until 7pm! Wilderfest sees live music acts take to various stages around the park, as well as other wild entertainment including interactive creatures.

The existing stage in the centre of the park is transformed into The Mane Stage which is host to the main headliner show where Led Zebra, Lady Ra Ra and DJ Sharkey each take to the stage at selected times throughout the day to wow spectators with their live music acts, and at the end the audience have to cheer to crown their winner the ‘Headliner’. They also each have their own mini shows at other times.

The Groupie Troupie are a large bunch of roaming actors who are hosts for their own wild creatures which interact with guests and make for great photo opportunities – there’s even a dinosaur!

Festival Field is located on the picnic grass area and is repurposed from previous summers with the beach area, as well as additional stalls for food and games. A great area to soak up the festival vibes whilst chilling at the edge of the park away from the hustle and bustle of the rides and queues.

Hissy Elliott at The Lorikeets are live singers that appear on the many stages dotted around the park at different times throughout the day. One thing we particularly liked about this is that we always managed to see some entertainment going on whilst wandering around the park.

Overall we absolutely loved Wilderfest and it really adds a great atmosphere to the park and provides opportunities to be entertained without having to be constantly queuing and experiencing rides throughout the day. The Mane Stage headliner show really gets the party going complete with pyrotechnics, confetti and bubble machines which surprised us. An excellent example of what a summer event at a park should be.

Be sure to catch the Wilderfest vibes included with theme park entry before it finishes on 31st august!
