The story of Hallowed Peak is based around the Lunar Festival, which is a time of celebration for the people in Phantom Peak. However, something stirs in the soil as the moon is at its closest and the mysteries and visions of the past, present and future resurface…

Let’s talk about the expansion since season 1. Old Town is now huge and has more than doubled in size! Consisting of many new shops, additional food stalls and even an arcade. Also new was a carnival expansion with 2 brand new carnival games to play, such as Feed The Mayor 2. We lose the boat ride and that remains closed and hidden out of sight. Back in the new town, we see more of a roofed area above the seating area and walkway, giving more dry seating when it rains in addition to the new indoor space in the Old Town. 

This is only touching up what they already had from season 1, so this is fantastic to see the new added space and how they keep building and developing. One of the best new areas was in Old Town, we now have the Miramaze. This being a short walkthrough similar to a funhouse, containing a few interesting rooms and even a slide! This was simple, unexpected yet fantastically fun. 

Whilst everyone got deeply involved into the hymn, Jonas (for those who don’t know Jonas, he is always watching) had a surprise for us all. A robot DJ! The most random 10 minute rave with all the characters you’ve met joining in. It was surreal to see and such a laugh! This is a perfect ending to the Halloween special and second visit to this magnificent place. 

Overall, Hallowed Peak is a perfect Halloween edition following on from the first season of Phantom Peak. It contained an expansion which shocked us, new ghostly trails which we adored alongside other surprises and additions we couldn’t dream of. This experience is going from strength to strength and if you have yet to experience it, we would highly suggest it on your next visit into London. For those who have visited, you would know we are Platyhooked about Phantom Peak (bad pun we know)! 

With the Halloween season almost at the end due to a super limited run, not to worry as Phantom Peak: Wintermas launches! A 6 week Christmas run offering 13 festive new trails and a Christmas overlay to the world of Phantom Peak. We will certainly be making an appearance!
