Mr Mulligans is a minigolf entertainment business with multiple locations throughout the UK. With some of its biggest locations being London, Bournemouth and Milton Keynes, they cover some of the most popular towns and cities across England.
With the concept of minigolf being around for a while now, Mr Mulligans is the perfect place for multiple different audiences. The perfect audience during the day for the family and during the night for some pre-drinking madness. They even offer coperate bookings perfect for Christmas, Hen & Stag Do’s,Childrens Birthday Parties and much more.
This review is based on the Birmingham location and with a short descripion of this location.
Mr Mulligan’s offer different prices and offers throughout the week with themed nights, family offers and festive discounts. Outside of these times however, you can find the price to be £8 per over 12 in your group and discounted heavily if you play 2 or 3 different courses. 3 courses costing £14 per adult which makes more value for money to play all the courses!
The price to value for money is pretty good for a great location right next to parking (which is free also if you play at Mr Mulligans), with a warm building, a bar with multple drink offerings along with chart music around the courses to keep a great atmosphere as you play.
Food & Drink can be ordered before you play at this location with you being able to take any drinks around the course with you as you play, which is fantastic!
Mr Mulligan offers 3 different minigolf courses at the Birmingham location with them each offering 12 holes. The themes all are similair and relating to the space theme. The courses are known as Asteroid, Supernova & Mars Base. Asteroid & Supernova are the original courses for the location and Mars Base being the newest course to the location as an expansion.
Asteroid was the first 12 holes we completed and this was a fun course with some fun layouts thrown in along with some simple ones too. It had some great effects throughout such as multiple naked aliens, a spaceship and a spaceman.
The next 12 holes were completed over on Supernova which carried over some naked aliens and more complex courses. The course also used some special effects with lights and sounds going off which were triggered when you step into taking your shot or as your ball went into different obstacles.
The final 12 we completed were over in the Mars Base area. This section being the most updated and fun section, with some really unique courses and fun elements found. With more themeing, special effects and complex layout found on these holes, this was a whole different experience and is one of our favourite courses played.
Each course also includes surprises such as the wheel of randomness. This wheel is required to be spun before playing the hole by each player and the action making the hole harder than it first looks. Tasks such as holding the club behind your back, taking shots blindfolded or one handed were included within the mix.
Overall, over the 3 courses we had a great experience with our highlight being over on the Mars Base course. The atmosphere from the music, the uniqueness of the courses along with the special effects all come together for a great experience and targets perfectly to the wider audience.
We would like to thank the team at Mr Mulligans Birmingham for inviting us to come experience the three courses during our time in the area. With them being open 7 days a week with peak times being open up until midnight, we recommend experiencing Mr Mulligans Birmingham or any of the locations when you are next near by!
