One of the first changes we noticed before arriving to Phantom Peak this year was the ticket options and time slots. Adult tickets cost £35 with kid tickets costing £25, with a small booking fee applied to all tickets. You can also book a family ticket to save money for adults and kids combined. Fancy a cheeky upgrade? Then new for this year, you can either enjoy cocktails with Copper or Afternoon Tea with Mayor Pocket. These premium experiences do cost £75 but do include a private encounter with one of the residents of Phantom Peak and food/drink, depending on the experience booked.

Time slots have shortened for this season with the average session now being 4.5 hours instead of 5 hours compared to previous versions. With this said though, this is still an insane amount of time for an immersive entertainment experience with excellent value for money to be had.

Phantom Peak goes through seasons as you may of realised from our previous visits so, it is always worth checking for the latest ticket options, opening times and specific latest information via the Phantom Peak website and socials. 

After the introduction and explanation, you are then free to explore as you wish. With the all new trails each season so far, it is exciting each and every time to follow the all new stories. The trails act as the stories happening around the town and from answering a few questions on the mobile website, you are then pre selected your trial / story to follow. These range in length and complexity, with some being harder and longer than others, whilst others have smaller stories. Even new this year is smaller kid friendlier stories for the younger audience to follow along and assist with. 

Whilst we have seen the amount of trails reduce from the very start, the quality of the stories, the quirkiness of the interactions and the more puzzle based questions asked have hugely improved. Whilst before the answers were given to you on a plate, now you do need to pay attention to what the characters in the town tell you and look around a bit more to get the answers you need to move on in your quest. We again love this change as it makes it a little harder and gives it a sense of a challenge for puzzle lovers. 

What we will say is with 9 adventures to follow, it is very difficult to complete all 9 in one visit. Following them in detail one at a time whilst enjoying the rest of the festivities going on, you should aim to do a handful on your visit, depending on how you get on. On our first visit, we achieved only 2 trails whilst on our second, we managed 4. The main advice is to enjoy each story you follow, get involved with the characters you meet and you’ll love your time doing these, regardless how long it takes you to complete each trail. 

Whilst we can talk all day about our love of adventures at Phantom Peak, we will swiftly move onto the food & drink. With a few different options are selectable, they have made this more streamline from the smaller booths they have had before, with now a main ordering point inside for food using interactive screens. Like you would find at any fast food restaurant nowadays, Phantom Peak have followed suit. With different themed burgers and other tasty options, we had no complaints during our visit with quick service and reasonably priced food.

Drinks can be purchased in a number of places with 2 main bars. This visit we had seen the introduction of new cocktails and drink options themed to the world. Such as the Sourpuss, a green cocktails with a sour taste, strong but tasty. You can get other non alcoholic options and beers too. It is always great to have a few different options as you are there for a while so you can try a few different concoctions.

Before long, you would have realised the time has flown by and it is time for the end of the celebrations with the reason you have visited this season, the infamous Platypus Parade! A town gathering is called towards the end of your time around 20 minutes prior to the end of the time slot, where all of the buildings start to close and you are ushered back to the town hall.
