Exit Room is a Polish Escape Room company which has multiple branches across Poland. Like most escape rooms, they host many different 60 minute adventures for teams between 2-5 to escape. They are highly recognised and recommended within Poland from other reviews and the general public, and with them being in key locations for tourists, such as Krakow, there is no excuse not to visit! 

We visited the Krakow location during our latest visit to Poland. The centre was easily found in the main city area and you can use Google Maps for clear and easy instructions. Getting into the venue was a little adventure, with it having quite a spooky walk up the stairs to the building it is located in. We were greeted by some lovely staff members in the reception area, where we checked in to our game and put our loose items into lockers before our briefing and beginning our game. 

Storyline & Theming: 5/10

Prison Break had a simple story, which was that we were locked up and had to escape. The room did have a loose attachment to the Prison Break TV series, however, this had no relevant part to the room and your understanding of the game. The room started off in pitch darkness and us being tied up with handcuffs, which meant our first part of the game was limited in movement. Amongst the rooms, it gave a derelict vibe and was simple in design. It wasn’t the best themed room we have come across but it did the job for the style of game. 

Uniqueness: 8/10

Prison Break was a pretty unique room due to the start of the room alone. Whilst other prison themed rooms do have a similar vibe, it is unique compared to the other games out there. Being given a glow stick to use as a light and the instructions given with it, really starts the game with some tension and with the theme, it really gave the immersion element of like a run down prison (intentional or not). 

Overall, Exit Game Krakow was a fun experience during our trip. The main element out of all this is the value for money for anybody coming from the UK or even Europe. With the conversion rate, it does make the cost per person the cheapest we have ever seen. This has not compromised the experience or the game and, they have managed to make a room that made logical sense which wasn’t so easy you could escape in seconds!
