Objective Entertainment creates game changing social immersive experiences featuring modern stories, vivid characters, exciting objectives to fulfil, and interactive multimedia. Their games help players create their own stories and make unforgettable memories with friends, colleagues, and new faces alike.

Objective Entertainment was created as a response to COVID shutdown of the theatre industry, with the closure of their usual source of employment, RADA graduates Christopher Adams and Dean Elliott started Objective
Entertainment, a social games company taking an innovative approach to immersive theatrical experiences.

Their new game, THIS IS REALITY 2000, transforms Zoom into a Y2K themed reality TV show and puts audiences in the driving seat.

“We’ve found that, with many immersive shows, there aren’t many opportunities to have a genuine impact on the action. We’ve remade interactive experiences entirely around the participants. Just like Big Brother, we have HouseMaster; her voice guides players through the rounds, which include team challenges, votes, nominations, and plenty of dramatic twists. We’ve even recreated a few iconic reality TV moments.”

The game invites players to become one of 12 characters, each based on classic reality TV personas, and each with their own secret objectives to achieve over the course of the game. There is nothing to memorise, and characters are also gender-neutral, so can be freely interpreted by anyone. The result is a deeply immersive experience, despite audiences playing from the comfort of their homes.

Although there are no ‘performers’ guiding the action, the game has a round-based structure which ensures players are guided in what to do… though how they achieve their objectives is up to them.

“Like most people, we’re sick of Zoom quizzes and online shows which don’t adapt to the medium. Coming from a devising and fringe theatre background, we’re used to making the best of what’s available and audiences have been
shocked and delighted by what we’ve managed to achieve with the platform, with lockdown and limited chance to socialise with groups of friends we create novel ways to escape and connect which has never been more necessary.”
