Logiclock is an escape room puzzle company based in Nottingham, designed to create memories, teamwork and joy in one of their adventures. Located within the city centre, Logiclock offers a dedicated experience for groups between 3 – 5 members to escape within 60 minutes by solving puzzles, finding clues and hopefully end up escaping the challenge your set within.
Logiclock has 3 different themed experiences, from Casa Nostra & Pirates Adventure room, plus the experience we are writing about today, Made in Stein.
Logiclock run all of their games 7 days a week with multiple time slots available. Whilst being pretty popular, games can cost as little as £16 per person if 5 people book onto a game. With 3 very different styled games, there is fun for all the family but, we chose the science adventure room to see what it was all about.
“You’ll enter Professor E.’s room. Professor E. had to go very quickly and without attracting attention. He had to leave so fast he couldn’t find somebody who could continue his work. There are lots of candidates but he needs the best of the best. The Professor asked Mrs. Taylor, his assistant for help.
In order to prove your skills you have one thing to do: Escape from Professor E.’s room.”
Storyline & Themeing: 6/10
The storyline within the room was pretty basic and this also matched the themeing. It was pretty much an office based start that then took a science twist. Whilst basic, it did join together and work well with a variation of different props and blended in puzzles. We did get to see and use some very unusual items and unique elements and this ultimately kept the room to a good level in our opinion.
Puzzles & Flow: 7/10
The puzzles were nice and varied with some being quite simple whilst others had layers to it to add to the complexity. With this range, it kept us thinking and gave everybody something to be doing. With some of the harder puzzles, it did disjoint the flow a little but It did not take away from the overall experience of escaping. There were some very cool and unique puzzles which we’ve not seen done before and we liked how the puzzles varied according to the story.
Uniqueness: 7/10
Whilst the storyline and themeing was nothing incredible or unique, a handful of the puzzles were. We got to see some really cool simple puzzles and others a little more high-tech. We also got to play with some retro styled props and puzzles and this showed how a mixture of the old and new combine well together.
Overall, with a score of 20, and 3 and a half stars, Made in Stein is a challenging yet interesting room, with variation in puzzles that will keep you thinking from start to finish. We liked how everything came together and how the story progressed the further you got into the room and sometimes the smallest of details is really what you need to keep an eye out for.
If you ever visit Nottingham for some shopping or to see friends and family, head over to Logiclock to experience this or another room they have to offer. We would love to thank the team for being so welcoming and inviting us to experience a small portion of what they have to show.
