Agent November is an escape room company based in London which hosts 3 escape games that can be played in numerous places within the city. Agent November being the main character, the story plays out through the missions with you joining the agency to help defeat Marty Orri.
Since the pandemic, they have spent their time adapting the business and creating a virtual experience. Virtual X-Caper was the game they launched back in 2020 and had pretty huge success. You can still play this mission and if you want to know more, see our thoughts in our review – REVIEW.
Then in 2021, they released a new virtual mission called Mind Heist. This was a prequel to the other virtual mission Virtual X-Caper. All linked within the same universe of Project Pandora and stopping Marty Orri once again!

Storyline & Theming: 8/10
Mind Heist is a very clever game, and in the agent November universe it takes place before the other virtual mission that we’ve already played. We needed to stop Marty Orri gaining a vital Project Pandora documents which had recently been stolen. Taking control of D.Seet, who was due to sell these artefacts shortly, our job was to unlock them and make multiple decisions which would impact what would happen later on.
With a believable story and including multiple outcomes, it strongly showed how much attention to detail has been put in the game. We’ve seen other games give a few different decisions before but you could see where it was going, this felt different and more original. Linking to the puzzles, the story and the overall flow, it created a genuine experience.
With a mixture of video cut scenes using an external website and the live feed of the game, it gave an in-depth adventure. The theming was simple but effective, which is perfectly fine in a virtual experience as you can’t always see and appreciate the level of work that goes in online.
Puzzles & Flow: 7/10
The puzzles in Mind Heist were fairly logical. Some were easier than others and some had some very creative & original designs behind them. The virtual mission has hidden bonus items (toilet rolls) throughout as a little extra and as you can see in the image, a 3 letter ending. We got HIT. The ending word depends on your choices throughout the game. With multiple decisions that can be made, you will play different puzzles and that would open different stories and outcomes. The clever design of the game actually allows you to play the same mission twice with you not repeating puzzles and not having the same ending. We’ve not seen this done anywhere else before and it’s very original.
Uniqueness: 8/10
As we’ve already mentioned, Agent November is pretty original with the multiple choices and re-playability with different puzzles and ending. We always like how the games are all linked with the same bad guy and played all within the universe. It allows customers who return to add on to a story that they’ve heard before and giving it more character than your average experience. Virtual games have allowed some for amazing unique experiences and with their first mission Virtual X-Caper, this did not let us down as a follow up.
Overall, Agent November should be on your cards to play one of their experiences. Whilst we highly suggest their latest mission Mind Heist, Virtual X-Caper and the other missions in London are great experiences. Virtual or in person, you are sure to fall in love with one of these missions.
