Coaster Cabana is a brand new event for 2021 located at Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach. The Pleasure Beach transforms into a tropical playground for the ultimate summer party nights from July 31st through to August 28th, every Saturday. Tropical dancers, live DJ sets from Club Tropico, pop up cocktail bars and more all bring this seaside park to life this summer.
Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach is located in the east coast of the UK in Norfolk. With the park being open since 1909, it has great heritage and much history. The scenic railway coaster has been open since 1932 and can have an hourly capacity of 2500 guests, which is more than your average ride today! Since then, it has continued to be a popular destination for locals and others who come to the area for a summer holiday!
Coaster Cabana kicks off every Saturday at 6:30pm and we recommend you get there early, as it is only a 3 hour event. Whilst 3 hours may seem limiting, it is a perfect amount of time to experience the attractions, the tropical atmosphere and get a cocktail or 2 before the time is over!
The event is priced at £16.50 which includes unlimited rides and to experience all of the DJ’s and performers around the park. This is definitely value for money for whatever you decide to do for the 3 hours. It is perfect for locals who may just want to experience 3 hours worth of park entertainment, perfect for the kids who just want to keep doing the rides over and over again, it is also superb for guests who fancy live music and a drink!
We enjoyed as much of it as possible during our 3 hours and ticked off many rides, seeing so much of the entertainments and having a few drinks too!
Coaster Cabana is jam packed with entertainment throughout the 3 hours! The park has multiple stages setup around the Pleasure Beach which allows the entertainment to move around the whole park allowing wherever you are to see some kind of entertainment.
On the stages, you can see an amazing fire breathing act or maybe some of the tropical dancers in their flamingo or zebra costumes. Alongside these acts, you can see jugglers and stilt walkers roaming the park showing of their skills and posing for photos.
On the music side, they have Brazilian Samba Drummers roaming the park and playing some great tropical music to go with the parks atmosphere. If all of that was not enough, they have 2 DJ locations across the park performing some deep house and tropical music, kindly hosted by Club Tropico! One stage is towards the far end of the park and the main stage being in the Fun Factory!
This music was a huge highlight of our trip and seeing so many people together during our visit, with guests and staff of all ages enjoying Club Tropico’s sound and getting involved with the tropical dancers for a little dance.
Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach does have a great collection of rides which is worth the visit for. The Scenic Railway is obviously the highlight of the park, with its age and great paintwork. They also have some waltzers, log flume, a wild mouse coaster, a fun house and a haunted house plus many more attractions for all ages.
Outside of the event, Pleasure Beach is open as normal and is still running a reduced capacity with time slots being required to be booked.
The park also hosts another great event which is set to return in 2021, this being Fairground Frights, their Halloween event which takes over the park. With this also containing live music, scare attractions and another amazing atmosphere across the coast, we recommend you keep your eyes glued for more updates on this soon.

Overall, Coaster Cabana is a perfect summer event and brings the tropical vibes usually found abroad a little closer to home. The event really did deliver and did not hold back in hosting some of the best entertainment found in a summer park event in 2021.
