Project Avatar has launched phase 2 of their one of a kind virtual game called Stalker. After our first attempt, we tackle a new set of puzzles and challenges to try and beat our previous score! 

Project Avatar is a virtual game and its very easy to book onto the experience. All you need is a team of up to 15 players and zoom for each player or group. The rest is then explained through a video prior to playing. The experience lasts up to 90 minutes and you get to cover around 300 square feet with your ‘avatar’. 

The experience is set in a pawn shop which is a large warehouse set over multiple floors. The story is as follows; 

“You start at the basement of the pawn shop. Avatar’s half-human half-duck best friend Utya Duck is the traveler across realities. Unfortunately, he got stuck in an alternate reality due to the malfunction of his plane. He just cannot get home without repairing it. To reach his reality safely, Utya Duck needs to fix the aircraft by collecting artifacts from a pawn shop of Chickman, who does not like anyone around his property. Utya Duck cannot do this by himself because he has a deeply-rooted panic fear of chickens, so he calls his friend Avatar to the rescue. Avatar has to collect artifacts for the plane from a danger-filled pawn shop and save his friend.”

Puzzles & Flow: 9/10

The puzzles in phase 2 follow on from phase 1. These were all new puzzles for us due to the new starting location. The whole part of the experience is to collect artefacts and they have certain colours. Whilst many of them are just obvious, there are certain kinds that you need and to get them, you must solve puzzles. They aren’t too difficult but under the constant pressure and with them all being completely different, it throws you under the bus at the time of the experience. They are all genius though and that links into the flow of the gameplay. Everything you do isn’t wrong and you have complete freedom of where you explore and what you ask the avatar to do. This means every game is unique and allows for endless possibilities. 

Uniqueness: 10/10

Project Avatar is just truly unique. You won’t find another experience similar and this has been out for some time now. Both owners have put a lot of passion into this experience and you can see why. With the updated advertisement visuals and website, the experience screams premium fun. From the unique element of every game being different, to how the avatar can act in each game, with all of the cut scenes and surprise elements, it honestly is so much fun. It’s that much fun there is so many other elements we could explain in our review but instead, we think you should play to understand how unique this actually is! 

We highly recommend playing Phase 1 or Phase 2 of the Stalker series of the game. Costing 25 euros per person and the flexibility of a small or large private team, you can have a great laugh. We must thank the Project Avatar owners for allowing us to experience Phase 2 as a complimentary experience. We managed to score 5600 points which puts us in the top 10 teams of all time. Much better than 2400 in our first attempt! The only way to book is via their website and with a new experience expected in 2022, we cannot wait to see what they have to offer in the very near future…
