Thrilling Activities This Easter

Stuck what to do this Easter? We’ve rounded up some of our favourite attractions that can be found throughout the UK, that you can experience this Easter! Take a little look below for some inspiration…

Theme Parks

Theme Parks are always a top choice to visit during Easter. With many of them recently opening up for 2022, you have plenty of choice depending on where you are based in the UK and what kind of thrill you are after!

You can visit Alton Towers in Staffordshire and experience their Festival of Thrills event. How about Paultons Park to explore their latest themed area, Tornado Springs! Fancy popping to the coast then you have options such as Blackpool Pleasure Beach or even Fantasy Island in Skegness.

Looking for something for the smaller ones? Then you can experience Legoland Windsor, Chessington World of Adventures, The Milky Way or even Wicksteed Park, all providing a wonderful fun day out for the family.

Escape Rooms

Escape Rooms are becoming more and more popular, being an ideal activity with the family, a friend, a partner or even work colleagues. Trapped in a room for usually 60 minutes, you need to solve puzzles, find clues and find a way out in one of the thousand of themed rooms across the UK.

We’ve explored many of the years and would highly recommend clueQuest in London, Deadlocked in Reading, Puzzalogical in Bracknell, Kingston Escape Rooms, The Panic Room in Gravesend and AIM Escapes in London!

Immersive Theatre

Immersive Theatre is also a new age of entertainment, taking a mixture of an escape room and a theatre performance, combing together to make a unique, interactive and immersive show. With it being another growing industry, if you are yet to experience one then we would highly recommend it!

Viper Squad is open throughout April, a show with an 80’s twist. Doctor Who Time Fracture is one of the biggest productions we’ve seen to date with immersive theatre, perfect for Doctor Who fans! Jeff Wayne’s The War of The World is also not to be missed with the alien war and carnage. Monopoly Lifesized brings Monopoly to life, with a unique life sized came that is bundles of fun!

Drinks with a twist

We all like to have a drink over the Easter break but, why don’t you do it with a twist? There is so many experiences that you can have fun and drink at the same time. These are much better than your average bars and cocktail making experiences!

The Grid is an escape room where you are trying to break out of a system that is trying to kill you but, why would you when you are lured in with drinks? The Bletchley is ran by the same company, this time being war themed with a much more relaxed code breaking mission. However, no 2 cocktails will be the same here…

Looking for something more fun and for an evening out, then Ballie Ballerson is a super cool bar which has 2 ball pits, allowing adults to be kids again! Urban Playground in Manchester is one of the newest venues about, allowing you to drink, play advanced tech heavy minigolf or even take on The Cube!

Waterparks

Waterparks are great fun for all the family. We are very lucky in the UK to have some great waterparks scattered all across the UK, all offering some fluming fun.

Some to check out if you have not done so already would be Waterworld in Stoke, with it recently been refurbished in the last few years. The Wave in Coventry is one the newest additions, with its unique compact design but don’t let that fool you! Splashdown have two locations down south, with Poole being open and offering so many slides! Coral Reef in Bracknell is also fun, with 4 interactive slides and another body slide.

Minigolf

Minigolf has come a long way from what it was. With more quirky designs, fancy lights and crazier holes, there is so many hidden gems scattered in the UK.

Birdies Minigolf offers a really cool course, with trippy designs and super different holes. Gravity Wandsworth have Urban Street Golf, where they have some great features on many different holes too. Mr Mulligans is a big brand all across the UK, but our visit to the Birmingham course showed us how they do things a little different. Minigolf has even advanced with clever technology, so if you want to play a smarter version of this classic game, we’d recommend Putters at Urban Playground or even Puttshack in London.
